You really got hand it to Mayweather. His brainwashing of the mainstream is really quiet something. Do you idiots seriously believe this man loses a few pounds overnight after weighing in at 151? He walks around 160+. I'm mean seriously, what the F do you think he does in the 30 hours after hitting the scales? Goes for a goddamn sauna? Eats a packet of laxative?

Go and check a mayweather fight night weights.

Admittedly I meant to type 149. And he apparently walks around at 152.

there is little info available because Floyd refuses to step on the scales. Why? Your post shows why, so he can lead you to believe he is lighter than he is.

this is what Floyd Mayweather looks like at 160lb (afterh is weigh-in for the stunt he done on WWE vs big show):

Image

This is Floyd as a middleweight, the most noticable difference is that he isn't as ripped and as shredded as he is on the scales (because he hasn't underwent a 3month training camp). Never the less he's still in great shape and a well documented gym rat even in his 'retirement' phases. He's in better condition there at 160 than Marquez was when he faced Floyd at weighing 142. In that same fight, Mayweather failed to make 144. To think he actually loses weight overnight is bonkers, guys rehydrate and carb up after weigh-ins for energy. This BS that Floyds ring weight is below 150 even for his 154lb campaigns is nothing but genius Pr on his part, the reality is for Cotto & Guerrero he was in the mid-to-high 150's.

You believe he is 160 there?
Keep believing.
And to answer the 'lose weight' overnight. It'not unusual for guys who do not drain.

I'm pretty certain he's at least 156, and it's why he doesn't step on the scale because the likes of you want to believe this fairy tale that a guy as cut & as rip as Floyd on scale, actually loses weight overnight. It's absolutely absurd. Use your eyes, he's clearly 'softer' in the ring than he is on the scales due to rehydration & eating energy foods post-weigh-in.

At the end of the day even if he munched 3 kebabs after the weigh in and wore a pair of ankle weights Canelo would probably still outweigh him with 10lbs so i wouldnt get too worked up about it.

A great smaller guy beats a good heavier guy (with in reason) Floyd will make canelo punch air and gloves all night, saul will land at some point, will mayweather shake it off like he did with mosely ?
The smart money has to go on Floyd points !

Canelo comes in at 158 lbs and outworks Floyd to a close and controversial decision.

Epic fight, cant wait. Cant afford to go either, whihc is a pain in the arse.
I can't afford to go either but someone I know who can says it's no fun with all the crowds; he could go ringside but would rather watch on telly.
Trust me, ringside on a big Vegas fight night is somewhat better than watching it on the telly.

Trust me, I couldn't afford to go in the cheapest seats but this man could afford the very best seats and chooses not to bother with the vegas bouts with the crowds etc though he went to the Froch bout last week.

I wouldn't be surprised if Loynsey gets the sort of seats that don't even go on sale.

Well some people are blessed and some people are very blessed; Like many others, I'd love to go but can't; I imagine it's a great experience - for the wealthy though; after they've been to 15 or 20 then they may get to where it's not such a big treat and they notice more of the hassles.

It's doable. It's what, £2000? Anyone on here off? Is Shirow running a trip?

Mickey, you can get to Vegas and spend 4 days there for less than half of that if you are prepared to change planes and stay in somewhere perfectly pleasant but not cool. Problem will be your fight ticket. They are had to get unless you throw cash at it or know someone. Your best bet is definitely to use someone like Shirow. You will pay a small mark up on the ticket, but nowhere near tout prices, and you will have complete confidence in what you've bought.

I know, I was including spending money and travel to the airport etc. I think I could get a ticket. Some will go on general sale and then be available on a "will call" basis. I am fairly experienced in the ticket game.

"If I'm not mistaken," Mayweather told Ben Thompson of spam, "They came on record and said they wanted to meet at a catchweight, so we came up with 152 and both parties said we're comfortable with that. You're going to hear people criticize me and say, 'You're doing the same thing Pacquiao is doing, fighting everybody at a catchweight.' No I'm not because Pacquiao presents that to his opponents. Once again, these people brought this to me. They said, 'Well, we'll fight Mayweather at a catchweight.' That's all you had to say. You said that. I didn't bring that to you guys; you guys brought that to me."

Alvarez trainer, "Chepo" Reynoso, has a slightly different version of the story.
"Those two pounds that we're sacrificing was a condition to get the Mayweather fight," Reynoso told BS. "He wanted 150 pounds and we requested 152, and I think in the end we did well...If we did not give up those two pounds, he wouldn't fight. Besides, Mayweather wanted to fight at 147, then 150. Fortunately, Richard Schaefer is a great negotiator. Everyone did their part to get this achieved."

It's not an issue in my book.
CA is massive compared to Floyd and will be on fight night.
Mayweather knows he wins, he would not take the fight unless he were certain of the win, just look at how slow CA's feet are, he fights in spurts and Mayweather will counter and punish his backside.

Who cares about world titles, & 2lb give in weight. Alvarez will still enter the ring around 165 & be fully hydrated. Just be grateful they are actually fighting as too many fights that should be made, never do. Just enjoy the build up to this one. I will ;;-)
