Ran this past my dog, and we can't get a readin' on this statement.
Not sure if serious.

Eddy, you can't call anyone an idiot when you have firmly established yourself here as the local village idiot.
Your views, and vast areas of ignorance, are hilarious.

I don't even get why he was directing that comment at me, as I was quoting a confusing comment by someone else.loaded_gloves wrote:Eddy, you can't call anyone an idiot when you have firmly established yourself here as the local village idiot.

Re: Monzon vs Calzaghe
Larry Holmes basically voiced exactly the same opinion, did he not? And these type of comments about Rocky Marciano's size and weight have featured in plenty of mainstream boxing magazines. I recall ten years ago Boxing News ran a fantasy series of match ups over several editions that proved popular with readers. From what I recall they didn't let him progress out of the first round of match ups for the exact same reasoning when they did the heavies. So my opinion isn't popular on here, but are you also saying both Larry Holmes and the esteemed writers of the best boxing magazine in the world are idiots too?loaded_gloves wrote:Eddy, you can't call anyone an idiot when you have firmly established yourself here as the local village idiot.

Larry Holmes retracted his statement within about 24 hours. Larry Holmes doesn't even believe what he said about the Rock. In his book he admits Rock was a great fighter.
So Eddy, are you saying Larry Holmes is wrong?
I'll tell you who Larry likes. And James Toney. Ezzard Charles. Treat youself to some Charles fights.

So you direct a bizarre post to me and now resort to calling me names?
