This fight will not happen 100%. David has already offered Fury 50% which is very generous and a great offer for Fury. Fury will not get a percent more than that and he knows it. Saying 80/20 is negotiable to try and make it look like it's David's fault will not fool anyone I'm afraid.

There are plenty of other heavyweight boxers who have boxed their best and got bad hidings for next to nothing, a hard bout and damage is par for the course in pro boxing. Trying to get the most money for the risk is a fair bit cleverer than leaving it to the generosity of the promoter.

"I did say that , because Haye is a has-been and I'm what's in fashion at the moment. What's in fashion needs the lion's share of things more than a has-been. We got a deadline at the end of month and either he signs the contract or Team Fury moves on. But there is nobody that I would like to beat up more than David Haye. There is room for negotiation there, and if the fight is going to happen I'm sure we can come to some sort of an agreement," Fury said to Sky Sports News.

"In this fight with David Haye, I genuinely don't like the fella. I think he's arrogant, I think he thinks he's everything. But really he's just a pumped up cruiserweight who hasn't fought anybody."

If you can talk a good fight throw a few swear words in and have some fisty cuffs at press conferences it helps to get punters on those seats that cost £500. There is no point in Fury saying

'me and david are good mates, I hope we can get this on and have a good fight. Then we can go to the Feather and Duck for a few pints and sing 'Ive got a brand new combinehavester' eat pie and mash and go watch Rocky 5'

Thats not going to sell tickets but this does

'im gonna kill the muther fecker I hope its his last breath, im gonna shit in his mouth, etc etc etc'

Seeing as there isnt anyone else in the UK to draw attention or generate the kind of money they want this is the only fight boxing fans are really interested in. Would Price v Fury sell out a stadium of 30K? I dont think so but Fury and Haye would just because the hype that surrounds the fight. We would have 3 to 9 minutes of adrenaline rush like sniffing liquid gold and then go home knowing the best heavyweight in the UK won (David Haye)

The next morning, if Mr Fury was allowed home he will be counting his money and thanking God that hype sells boxing.

the way Fury is going he'll sell out wembley stadium with Lennox Lewis coming out of retirement to quieten the story of Fury stating that he will be and is a better heavyweight ...

Looking forward to Hughie maturing and restoring a bit of humility to the Tyson name... :box:

It's pure WWF wrestling, so clearly orchestrated between them both for publicity. Haye making another Harrison/Chisora type payday for himself again.
