Re: Has allegedly threatened ifilm London with legal action
There's an interview in this month's BN with W@rren and he does come across as both thin skinned and ruthless. A guy wrote something on an internet site W@rren didn;t like and despite the guy telling W@rren he was sorry and skint, W@rren still wants to literally bankrupt him.
Re: Has allegedly threatened ifilm London with legal action
The bloke who has threatened legal action is a joke. They need to tell him to fornicate off. Cant throw his weight around when he hears something he doesn't like. Especially as that is all it is, a threat - he would never be successful. He just picks on those weaker than him.
Its obvious who HE is btw.

Re: Has allegedly threatened ifilm London with legal action
Im guessing the argument from FW side if it is him of course is that I think someone said that Barry had stated that FW's business is in ruins? If that isnt true that is probably slanderous and could affect his business in terms of fighters wanting to join his stable...... I doubt it's Kugan and James that the issue is with. It's just their video.
Re: Has allegedly threatened ifilm London with legal action
I have a feeling Barry Hearn is very very familiar with the accounts of FW. I doubt he would have said something about his business if it weren't true, especially with FW's track record of legal action.columbo wrote:Im guessing the argument from FW side if it is him of course is that I think someone said that Barry had stated that FW's business is in ruins? Im not saying he's wrong as I dont know either way. Im just saying I imagine that's what the core of the legal threat is.DMA1987 wrote:I have a feeling Barry Hearn is very very familiar with the accounts of FW. It's entertaining to watch though! Haha. I hope FW doesnt ban Ifilm from his shows though as firstly you want to see interviews from as many shows as possible and secondly it's not going to benefit them banning a youtube channel that has a big boxing fanbase.
Re: Has allegedly threatened ifilm London with legal action
Absolutely, it will all be available at companies house won't it.rio wrote:

And no you're right they wouldn't. Frank is old school, he tries to bully his way through, clearly doesn't give a fornicate about public image.

As he stated in BM, no one mentions his new company, w promotions, made 2.5million last year. He will be ok. Bet he's well up for the BJS fight! (And Liam Smith).

So W Promotions made £2.5m? Maybe he can pay Calzaghe the £1.8m he still owes him then?
Re: Has allegedly threatened ifilm London with legal action
I'm sure I heard that the owner of rainham steel had bought half of BN.

Of course. Old company goes bust owing millions, directors set up new company with a different name doing the same business with mostly the same people...damianhucker1 wrote:No it was Sports Network wasnt it ? Frank W@rren is morally bankrupt, if not financially.

For the things he has done, and the way he has conducted his business he gets an extremely easy ride from most.MarkMcBurney wrote:

I agree. As a child of the 80's I'll always be grateful to Frank for some brilliant nights in front of ITV involving people like Benn, Eubank, Collins & Bruno; but things like that always leave a bit of a sour taste, especially give that, love them or hate them, Matchroom have done it the 'right way' and are a bloody successful company. Granted, as Barry says, that's not all down to Boxing but you've got to admire their success.DMA1987 wrote:For the things he has done, and the way he has conducted his business he gets an extremely easy ride from most.MarkMcBurney wrote:
