Quillin gets run over by Golovkin, thankfully for him his promoter will make sure he never has to.
Not so sure about that.
We'll never know.

Just gotta get more points than the other guy.... Barker did that. Don't really see too many people arguing with that result, close fight however you saw it.

Bbbbbbut G's resume doesn't compare.... 8)
Barker wont fight either of them in a million years I dont think.
I think Barker could be competitive with Quillin, but G....no.[/quote]
I dont know. I dont think Barker would handle Quillins power either! If Geale can hurt Barker which he did on a few occasions not just to the body then he'll go down against Quillin.

He's the champ; so what? That isn't part of the scoring criteria.

I quite rate Quillin. Id pick Golovkin against him purely because he looks unbeatable at the moment but I think Quillin is somewhat underrated. He can really punch and he's got a good boxing brain.

I still think Geale would give GGG a good match, has good boxing skill and a good chin, could really push ggg into the later rounds and see what he is made of. I'd still like to see Geale fight GGG.

Geale would get trashed by GGG as would Barker..... It was a fun fight tonight but when you put it in perspective they are a big step below the pace. Geale isn't that hard to find, he was taking shots all night, GGG would have him out of there.

Is bias coming into play here?
Appears so.
To answer your earlier question, I think GGG would stop Barker, who doesn't have a great chin. Barker due to the Geale win has IMO a slightly better resume which is how I rank fighters.
However, we already had Martinez/Barker, which I thought Martinez won clearly (meaning he was well ahead on my card before the stoppage).

Quillin puts dude's lights out with 1 shot.

Yeah, if Geale did that to Barker...I doubt he survives Quillin.

He'd be done inside of 5 rounds. Geale, or Barker, would be an underdog against Macklin.

C'mon, man. I Like Geale as much as the next Geale fan, But GGG would destroy Geale, there would be no later rounds.

yeah being from Australia myself I can admit that I'm a bit bias.

I'm not saying Geale would win. Just saying Geale could be competitive with his style, and good chin. Just saying he could push GGG into the later rounds. Would he win? I'd think not, although it would be an awesome victory if Geale did win.

I agree he'd extend GGG, but there's no point in it. Barker'd be more deserving.
Unfortunately, we might get Barker/Sturm.
If we do, WAR BARKER!

Yeah, a Geale win would have opened up a few more interesting middleweight clashes. The Barker win doesn't really do as much, and you're probably right, he prob will fight Sturm or Soliman etc.

This was a fantastic middleweight fight; the best in years. Lots of close rounds but I think Barker won a deserved decision with his harder shots landed and quality output. He also showed to be much better working off the angles and precise counter-punching than I ever thought he was capable of.

That said, count me as one who still thinks Geale presents a tougher challenge to Golovkin than Barker. Not saying I favor Geale, but the guy has super-human stamina and a seemingly cast-iron jaw. If he could stand upright and keeping tagging GGG with body punches into the middle-late rounds, that would put Golovkin into new territory and I could definitely see Geale outworking him to win a decision if he could stay upright. Barker on the other hand, while being the more polished boxer as he showed tonight than Geale, had great heart but I think it's clear not the durability to survive Golovkin.

Put me in the Quillin > everyone except GGG camp.

Although I do think Quillin would give GGG big problems, I really rate him.

Well there's nothing to demonstrate that. I also strongly disagree Macklin would be favored over Geale and Barker . . .I'd confidently pick Macklin to lose to both.
