I have no problems with a fighter winning a vacant title, as long as we're looking at a decent fight for it. I imagine it would be something like Brook-Mallignagi, he's ranked 5th for the IBF I think.

Na I dont have an issue with him winning the vacant title if he fights a good fighter. I would have an issue though if it was something carefully orchestrated by Hearn.

I haven't realy noticed these posts then, as for me personally, I want Brook to do well, I'm just sick of the waiting and all the Matchroom/Sky propaganda. The announcement for his last fight really took the piss with alleged top fighter coming over and then we get Senchencko, that's just a joke. I'll freely admit that if they target Khan if he beats Alexander I'll want Kell to get starched.
But I think we could also agree that if Khan beats Alexander then he has become a legitimate WW fighter, it kind of throws the reservations you had about Kell wanting Khan because he was a LWW out of the window. If that fight comes off then I will want Kell to win, but it will be one of those where I don't mind either way. Whoever is better, wins.

I was disappointed with Senchenko. It smacks of Hearn nursing Kell though to his mandatory. Plus side is though, he can hardly take a backward step after Senchenko, I would hope Hearn knows that, so I would hope its only relevant fights once he gets rid of Senchenko.
The reservations would still be there, they want Khan because they see him as an easy fight, it's not like Khan's vulnerabilities aren't there for all to see. I just hope Khan gets a Mayweather fight instead, he is ranked 2nd or 3rd with the WBC at WW so I have sneaky feeling that's where the winner of Khan Alexander will be going, which will I assume leave the IBF title vacant for Kell.

I hope you're right about what will happen after the Senchenko fight.
Lets all hope that Senchenko wins his warm up fight.

I am a little suspicious though DMA on the pull outs though. The reason I say this is say that Alexander beats Khan, there's a very good chance than Alexander would get the next shot at Mayweather *providing he beats Alvarez* which in turn would mean Alexander would likely vacate the title which would leave Brook fighting for a vacant title most likely against some mediocre opponent.
Why would the title be vacant? What happened to unification before mandatory?

Well there could be that but Id imagine Hearn would have some kind of written guarantee or something.

He had one for the original fight but because Purdy took the mandatory shot instead I doubt that applies now. I'd expect Alexander/Khan to fight Mayweather for the WBC and IBF in May. Bradley and Marquez are fighting for the WBO in October and Broner has the WBA and has Maidana next as his mandatory, that's looking like being in November. The quickest route to a world title for Kell is if Bradley/Marquez or Broner/Maidana take a voluntary against him after their fights. Otherwise it could be September 2014 before he steps into the ring to fight for a world title.

That is moving very fast; both are proven at a high level, Amir is no pushover and Broner had difficulties but will have better nights when he settles in to the weight.

I don't see how he possibly could get one with Purdy taking the shot. I don't think they've put Mayweather into the equation at all. Khan/Alexander winner there's a massive chance winner fights Floyd in a unification. Leaves Brook nowhere. They should be going down another route not clinging on to mandatory shot
