I dont know what the issue is really. Booth was Groves's manager when this fight was arranged so surely he deserves his 25%? I imagine he played a big part in the negotiations and the final amount Groves got offered for the bout.

X2 you will probably find that the southern area just enforced the boxer/manager contract which both parties signed so personally I don't see what the issue is coz board contracts are there to protect the interests of both parties and it is not easy to walk away from a board contract

Yes they could go down that route but first they can appeal to the board stewards of appeal and not pre empting the outcome will almost certainly back the decision of the southern area council unless groves can prove that booth has failed in his duties as a manager

It would be a very organised and elaborate work and for them to even attempt it would mean that they really thought Froch was susceptible to games etc, all this takes a lot of effort so they'd have to be sure that it'd have a pay off.

There's been a few posters here that have said that they gave Groves a good chance before the split and without Booth - no chance; if it were a work maybe they imagine Froch would skimp a little in training though with McCracken I don't think that would happen.

Why should he? If he still has legit management contract/role in place then he's due his cut. Why wait until later and maybe risk losing it. Could also be a way of getting in early and levering Groves and any representatives in to playing ball rather than risk a drag on the preparations?

Board contracts look like they are a piece if piss to walk away from of late if you've got the right bloke in your corner (ala rumpole etc). Now walking away without paying is another thing.....

I know Booth divides people's thoughts on forums.

But looking at this black and white, the guy has been there throughout all of the poor opponents that probably had poor purses too - and now GG is having the the "big PPV fight" he gets dropped ?

He drove him around the UK for sparring, all the press conferences and training hours and the title fight is the kickback where you make your money back. I'm sure other trainers understand this and hence the contract to protect all parties.
