Who's getting the new Tyson book?

Post by lefty »

Normally autobiographies are a bit bland or fail to deliver but I have a feeling this will be one that really does deliver.

I'll wait and see what other people say, too many are just 'I did this' and 'I did that', telling us basic facts that we all know already, I'd rather see some deeper insight into his life, thoughts etc.

Been thinking about getting a kindle. Would you say they're worth it?

Yes a kindle is definitely worth it, best legal thing I've bought in the last couple of years. Lasts weeks without needing to be charged and books are cheaper than the real thing.

I'd say so; I like to read a few pages before I go to sleep, there's a lot of books and it saves lots of space; I've got 98 books on mine and you buy a book it gets delivered in seconds; it's incredible really.

who's autobiographies have you been reading? I'd be surprised if you've read 3 cover to cover :OhYes:

I nearly started a similar thread asking who's going for Hatton's book and who's going for Tyson's - or both...but I figured I could put it in the books thread. No problem with this one though - I know you like to start a new one - even when there's an existing thread still on the first page :D

I read Ward in BM last month, great piece.

The Times are indeed serialising Tyson's book, here's an extract for you all:

In 1986, Mike Tyson became the heavyweight champion of the world.

Tell you more after I've read it...

It's a different article in todays Metro from the BM one.
