Froch & Eddie are so disrespectful to Groves

Completely agree. Cracking comment. The stoppage was a bit quick but Froch didn't ask the ref to do it. I fully believe that Froch would've finished the job before the end of the 10th anyway.

Groves could have easily have become more bankable if it wasn't for that headlock foster did him with. Ten more years in him, a Londoner and a true puncher, Groves was on the verge of becoming an international superstar.

I thought the boos started due to him not shacking hands with George directly at the end.

Big arena boxing crowd's aren't the brightest tho - and the idiots tend to be the ones that make the most noise. I've never booed a fighter and I always applaud both fighters when they are announced (at shows), even if it's only half-hearted and they're fighting our camp. They're putting it on the line too, it's just respect.

I don't know which fans are the worst between these ^ or the Las Vegas lot who skip every undercard fight only to turn up for the last fight to see Mayweather or whoever

People seemed to boo the initial stoppage, more so when it got the slow-mo replay on the big screens and then booed Froch as he was droning on and on in the post-fight interview like he was explaining to a small child why he was naughty. In all the post-fight interview (which went on for some time) he was really mealy mouthed about giving Groves any credit, which is why I think the majority of people booed him and clapped/cheered Groves comments.

Spot on mate, the fickleness of the British public has been shown with this fight. Froch has been a great ambassador for boxing in this country and for taking fights in other people's back yards, fighting whoever is put in front of him.

The fact is that most casual fans have only clocked onto him since he went with Matchroom so I don't think they quite realise what Froch is all about - Saturday is what he does - sometimes he meets a better boxer but more often than not he finds a way to win, that is what makes him the world champion.

Any way you look at it, groves was struggling at that point, so to blame Froch and come out booing him was just ridiculous.

I agree with the majority of this and froch really owes us nothing. He found a way to win despite the shitty stoppage (and it really was terrible) so he has to be respected for that. However, I feel he let himself down in the post fight interviews, and I think he will realise this as well. For the record I believe Carl wins a rematch as he took groves too lightly and won't make that mistake again

Sorry genuine question to those who might have seen more of the build up than me....but what did groves say or do that was so disrespectful to Froch in the build up. All the videos I have seen is Froch telling people how disrespectful groves is/was...and then be disrespectful in return....slagging off fighters like Glenn Johnson (oops) as domestic class.

All this while George is sitting there saying nothing.

The British public have always been the same. Its the same type of "fans" that bad mouth Haye, but have never even heard of Jean Marc Mormeck.
