Nobody has suggested that being an "arrogant asshole" is the worst characteristic you can have - but PR asked the question - and it got me thinking thats all. Never seen him as arrogant before now, whether the success has got to his head or if always was one is what I discussing.G0mez wrote:One more thing, one more thing - Don't stop there stu. I'm sure you can dig deeper ?stujones wrote:I think it is a good point that PR, the forum superstar, has made. Thinking about it - when he was doing the analysis for Sky fights (when he just turned to Sky) he used to talk about his achievements in major detail.... like "I won the WBC title when I was mandatory, I then made blah blah defenses and the won the WBC title against Arthur Abraham" etc.... I used to think he was just trying to explain things about boxing to a wider audience (always used to harp on about the WBC belt being the best one etc).... Now though.... in light of this build up... its clear to me that he just fancies himself.
The way he left Hennessy and COMPLETELY dismissed his work spoke volumes also.... "Oh I've promoted myself for years anyway".... No.... Hennessy got you in the Super 6, Hennessy, not Eddie Hearn, got you the fight with Ward. Hearn might have taken the money and the glory, but it was set in stone before hand and it was Mick, not you, not Eddie, at the negotiation table.... Hennessy got you your world title shot and also got you a vacant title fight despite coming back of a defeat - not you or Eddie.
One more thing, Froch was claiming that he has won every major version of the world title... so is he dismissing Calzaghe's reign completely then? Aint seen the WBO belt around his waist yet.![]()
What about Froch's tabloid cocaine bust ?
Or cheating on his new wife, masturbating himself blind into his Skype webcam before getting in his 4x4 and breaking the sound barrier before piling into a pedestrian before stepping out over his body and declaring himself the best offensive fighter in the world ?
Froch did his job and forced the stoppage - and now everyone who doesn't like him are crying they "had their dreams taken away from them" to quote Groves.
Whatever next, hanging an effigy of Howard Foster from a lamppost ?
Thought he talked very well post Dirrell, never really got on his high horse when people questioned the decision or tried to make it anymore than what it was - a stinker of a fight.... That was mainly the Froch fans.
