Re: Is boxing spoiled by fans?
i'm sure when I attended Khan- Barrera a few years ago in Manchester, you couldn't take booze into the seating area.
Earlier this year I got a surprise in Sheffield at Khan- Diaz, where you could go and buy a pint then go and sit down. Multiple ejections that night. Saw some real low lives and idiots. The arenas are so big that some of these idiots get to kick off for a good minute or 2 as it takes security that long to spot it and then get there. Grown men in a drunken stupor unable to stand still for swaying look pretty pathetic.
I generally feel safe, but you realise very early that unfortunately it's not a night out you want to take your Missus.

Another thought on this thread ...
If I were a promoter, manager or fighter etc etc ... visiting this or other forums - I would be thinking what the f*ck am I doing in boxing because them c*nts on those forums are never happy ... they are always moaning about something!!!
I love the coverage from Sky ... only thing I would do there is allow more than one promoter so I dont have the accusation of there being a monopoly ... a bit of competition raises standards in my view.
allegedly again love the coverage.
So to the moaners f*ck off and follow tiddliewinks!!!

British crowds have allway's been raucous & it does set off a great hostile atmosphere where emotions & energy are riding high! It's like benn,Eubanks & Watson the crowds were buzzing & even watching them shows back you wish you was there!!
I think promoters could do more to make shows a better expieriance like having more screens with pre fight interviews to stir it up like the ufc does get some fit birds to walk around topless aswell
