Boxing's about earning your shot not finding the most undeserving "Exciting" opponent cos it keeps the the casuals happy.
Unlikely but let's say Danny Garcia gets to 50 & 0 and still doesn't get a shot because he wont win a round against Floyd, you seem to forget he's earned it.
I can guarantee khan wont be winning many rounds as he backpeddle's around the ring @ 100 miles an hour till he gets knocked out !!

After watching his fight against Diaz, I actually think he's a shot fighter.

I think he may rattle Mayweather early on a bit like mosely did but I expect the outcome to be similar. mayweather can adapt to any fighter.
Khan doesnt possess anywhere near the power that Mosely does/did.

I think both Khan and Garcia would get knocked out. Khan is exciting but he still makes the same mistakes that Prescott nailed him for, out of the two Garcia gives him the harder fight.

As good a chance as Groves did against Froch if you believe the pre-fight press.

I dont think Garcia would get knocked out. He seems to have a very sturdy chin. He'd probably get beaten 120-108 or something along those lines though.

Mayweather KO. Khans' speed may pose some problems, but Floyd hits hard enough to stop fighters in their tracks, except Khan will be too stupid and keep walking onto punches. Fighting a counter puncher won't go well for him because Mayweather will be more accurate and land cleaner than anyone Khan has fought and with his chin that is bound to end badly.

I think it's a great fight for Khan. It isn't impossible for him to win, extremely difficult, but not impossible. If he loses, he loses to the best fighter on the planet, no harm in that. And if it isn't a devastating KO, then he still has a lot left to offer.

I agree with the OP, it'll be a good fight.

X2. Amir may be sharp in the opening rounds but he has a lot of miles on the clock and its showing.

I do see merit in the argument that Amir's speed may enable him to pose different problems to Floyd than most other fighters / challengers, however the Amir of 2014 is most certainly not the Amir of 2009/10/11.

Look at how quickly Froch has gone from being a superstar on the top of his game, to what happened last week. Fighters do decline and get older.

I wish Amir well but I can see no other outcome but a very conclusive stoppage by Floyd.

I think Khan could have moments similar to De La Hoya's where he could possibly have Mayweather against the ropes defending flurries without taking many clean shots. Then as the rounds go on Mayweather would start picking him apart to claim a late stoppage. Maybe 9th or 10th round.

What are the chances of Mayweather fighting the weekend before his usual approx 5th May date? Would everyone agree that he is likely to fight someone that weekend wether it be Khan or not? Im considering booking vegas very soon and would be p1ssed off if i missed it.

The irony is that GBP are so cynical of the Khan losing before they put him in with Floyd, that they have pulled him out of all bouts until May by the look of it.

He will have been absent for excess of 12 months from the ring, fighting at a new weight and against the #1 in the world, regardless of weight class.

To say his chances are very very very slim to non-existent are a tad optimistic.

Whilst the Brits can sit back and enjoy a spirited but doomed effort by Amir, the Americans who have zero affinity with Khan will not be pleased at forking out $69.95 for the pleasure.

They should charge $5 dollars a round instead and then it will only cost them $2.50.

Haha, if they did that you can guarantee Amir makes it to the end, thanks to Mayweather.
