Lee Purdy
Re: Lee Purdy
Should be a decent fight. I think Purdy will struggle with Bundu but if he's at his best then he's got a good chance. I'd go Bundu on points.
Re: Lee Purdy
I forgot Kevin Mitchell was fighting on this bill, as well.
Getting old.
Getting old.
Re: Lee Purdy
Mitchell has a late replacement who John Murray previously beat so I doubt he's going to progress much from this one. Purdy however is in what seems to be a good fight at his level rather than Alexander who is levels above. Not seen much of this Bundu but must be decent to be European champ for 2 years. He does only have 32% KO's though and only at euro level not world. Purdy is tough and may be able to walk him down if Bundu doesn't have the power to keep him off. But can't really predict as haven't seen enough of the Italian to be honest.
Re: Lee Purdy
Bundu will thrash Purdy
leaing for kell brook vs bundu
1. kell brook never been euro champ

Isn't Brook mandatory for the IBF? A European title fight would just confirm that his career's going nowhere.cold187 wrote:Bundu will thrash Purdy

Re: Lee Purdy
With Porter winning he gets 6 months to face his mandatory (would have been within 90 days for Alexander) so Brook will need a decent fight in between now and probably May (assuming Porter wants a voluntary)expe wrote:Isn't Brook mandatory for the IBF? Re: Lee Purdy
If Porter takes a voluntary he's cutting it fine trying to fit in 3 fights in 6 months, few American champions do that. Better to go for someone with a similar style to Porter as preparation, maybe on the Hull show, rather than a fight with Bundu.DMA1987 wrote:With Porter winning he gets 6 months to face his mandatory (would have been within 90 days for Alexander) so Brook will need a decent fight in between now and probably May (assuming Porter wants a voluntary)expe wrote:Isn't Brook mandatory for the IBF? Re: Lee Purdy
Yeah but if its a voluntary about the quality that Quiggs was then it's easy do-able.expe wrote:If Porter takes a voluntary he's cutting it fine trying to fit in 3 fights in 6 months, few American champions do that. Hearn reckons he will get Porter v Brook in Sheffield - going to make the trip over? Fake ID in tow.
Re: Lee Purdy
Possibly, depends on dates with footy and stuff. Don't have fake ID though so I'm fucked drink wise, would have to bring cans.DMA1987 wrote:Yeah but if its a voluntary about the quality that Quiggs was then it's easy do-able.expe wrote:If Porter takes a voluntary he's cutting it fine trying to fit in 3 fights in 6 months, few American champions do that. I got lucky. A fiver from a company in the back of FHM magazine. Accepted everywhere for about 6 months, then laughed away.expe wrote:DMA1987 wrote: Possibly, depends on dates with footy and stuff. Don't have fake ID though so I'm fucked drink wise, would have to bring cans.
Its like a posh Preston.

Cant see Porter having a voluntary with an opponent the calibre that Quiggs was. To be to Golden boy, they tend to match their fighters pretty tough. You had the Alexander/Purdy fight but I think that was only made because they needed an opponent pretty urgently. Also possibly to get the UK viewers interested in prep for Alexander/Brook. Regarding Porter vs Brook being in Sheffield, that would have to be on PPV because there's no way Porter would come over here for peanuts when he's the champion and would be entitled to 70 % of the purse or whatever it would be.

I think more likely would be he makes it to go on the Froch v Groves undercard in London. I have the feeling Hearn intends it to be the biggest boxing event the UK has ever seen.

Didn't Eddie even float that suggestion that would be on the undercard of Froch / Groves in recent interview with Kugan Cassius.DMA1987 wrote:I would be going so it wouldn't bother me.columbo wrote:

Re: Lee Purdy
The Froch/Groves rematch needs to agreed upon first lol. The way Carl's going, he might not give the rematch to George out of spite.brian13 wrote:Didn't Eddie even float that suggestion that would be on the undercard of Froch / Groves in recent interview with Kugan Cassius.DMA1987 wrote:I would be going so it wouldn't bother me.columbo wrote:

Getting his ass handed to him by the elite more like. Well when you say elite, you mean the one time he stepped up to the top level.DMA1987 wrote:Purdy has been mixing it with the elite.mickey1975 wrote:So how the f**k do you know he can win then?DaiTheRam wrote:If lee purdy is on form he can win this one.
