Post by ajwesty13 »

Sources are coming out and stating that the deal has been done... Both parties have come to an agreement and will be fighting on the 14 of September..

Thoughts??

Mine are i personally think that pac has not aged as well MW, and is not the fighter he was a few years a go.... but still would love to see this fight... result is MW by decision

A) I don't believe it will happen.

B) If it does it will be a complete anti-climax. As already mentioned, Pacman has declined too much to be any sort of viable threat to Mayweather.

Floyd would of beaten any version of Manny. Anyway, im not sure where the conclusive evidence is that Manny has declined that much as a fighter aside from Marquez timing him and knocking him clean out. The Rios fight, he was just going through the motions.

I'm not falling for it, what evidence do we have to back this claim up? Nothing by the sounds of it!

If this fight ever happens news of it wont break out on a boxing forum.

Pacquiao the mandatory? I keep reading that but, isn't he just the #1 contender? According to the WBC Mayweather v Guerrero was a mandatory, less than a year ago.

The WBC rules state that you have to make one mandatory per year, but they also say that you have to defend the WBC belt at least three times a year (one mano, two voluntaries). On the other hand, they can make concessions depending on circumstances and, to ice the cake, the President has special dispensation to make things up as he goes along.

This story will have stemmed from someone looking at the rules, seeing that he did his mandatory last year and put two and two together.

The WBC, and Floyd for that matter, can do whatever they want whenever they want to do it.

As for the fight, Manny gets battered by Floyd at any point in their careers.
true that :TU:
