He's need to fight a final eliminator to become mandatory, would he take 75-25 to fight Quigg in Manchester? I agree Santa Cruz is beatable but has Frampton had enough top level experience to do it? They need to form a proper plan then go after it rather than rely on a lot of luck. He's horribly inactive for me.

He wouldn't have to go to Manchester, if the fight happens, it's in Belfast, that's the only place it makes financial sense, regardless of TV channel. It should be remembered that neither man holds a world title, although Quigg and Hearn are attempting to con the public into believing he does.

Yes it would. Quigg would hold the IBF and WBA paper title and Frampton would be entlied to a 25% split. There's no chance matchroom lose those purse bids, it's Manchester and 25% or not at all.

Lee Selby - think he will come good against better opposition
Brian Rose - frustrate Andrade and use his skills to win on points
Paul Butler - think Frank will put him in with Stuey Hall then winner fights McDonnell
Jamie McDonnell - think he beats Hall again but Butler be a real good 50/50 fights
James Degale - Beats Bika for me using his skills and ringcraft
George Groves - beats Stieglitz, Bika. Don't think Froch will take a rematch as to dangerous
Martin Murray - If Golovkin is made super champ he takes regular title

Agree with most of the above but I think Brian Rose will take a real tanking at the top table. Andrade is a bit of a sleeper for me, he's got genuine quality, and I think Matchroom have done a superb job in getting Rose into the position he's in. It's a shallow division but doesn't have the power, toughness, speed or skills to cut it at that level. 100% good luck to the guy though, he's shown serious balls getting to where he has.

I think McDonnell's time has come and gone. He was riding the crest of a wave and punching above his weight a bit and I just feel the whole switch to Matchroom has been a huge mess which he'll never be able to fully recover ground from. He's a tough wee sod but I can't see him getting Hall straight away and I see Hall getting beaten soon, he's climbed his mountain and I think he'll take the best payday (rightly) that he can.

Additionally I could see Del Boy and/or Fury winning titles should Wlad retire this year, although 2015 is a more realistic time frame for this. The division is going to WIDE open and I can see titles changing hands time and again once Wlad bows out. Afolabi has it in him to win a belt at Cruiser but might not have the promotional backing required. Frampton and Gavin will quite probably get shots as well and both have it in them to win belts if they get in the right fights

As someone said about Frampton, who do you see Smith taking a title off? As far as I can see he's only ranked by the WBC and WBO. Anyone really give him a chance against Miura or Garcia?

I only claimed he would have a shot not that he would necessarily win it. A year can be a long time in boxing tough to know who will be stripped, lose, or move up in weight. Miura is the obvious option but it's unusual for Brits to fight Any of the Japs

I really don't see him even getting a shot. The news from Japan is that Miura (who is fornicating beast) is set to face Uchiyama in a unification bout which would rule that title out anyway.

Of the two Japanese champions Miura is more likely to travel (as he did for the Thompson fight) but I just can't see Smith getting the fight, never mind winning.

Talking about Miura, he's a decent shout for "most over-looked fighter of 2013". What a year that guy has had.
