I've given both rounds to Warburton, looks like he really fancies it tonight.columbo wrote:Really dont think much of Georgie boy.

I'm just catching up on the Price v Pala fight on youtube. Has anything of note happened?
Re: Conquest vs Mckenzie RBR
Kean being over keen (pardon the pun) and getting hit a lot in the process! Doesnt seem to have much defensive nous and he doesnt seem to hit particularily hard either.jameswilson wrote:I'm just catching up on the Price v Pala fight on youtube. Has anything of note happened?
Re: Conquest vs Mckenzie RBR
I have Georgie Kean down 30-27 to Will Warburton, with a round to go.jameswilson wrote:I'm just catching up on the Price v Pala fight on youtube. Has anything of note happened?
Re: Conquest vs Mckenzie RBR
Warburton has got pretty good skills. Shows journeyman arent all 'bums' as is thought quite often.

Glad to see the ref got it right despite Kean being a big ticket seller.

Re: Conquest vs Mckenzie RBR
Warburton wins 39-38 and rightly so.
Kean looked very easy to hit.

Re: Conquest vs Mckenzie RBR
Barry Jones has it 38-38, I've given it to Warburton 39-37...
And Warburton gets it 39-38, well deserved win for him, one of those fighters that you wonder what might have been if he could sell a few tickets, or if a big promoter had got hold of him early on in his career.

He probably makes a better living now than he would if he'd been managed like that though to be honest.expe wrote:Barry Jones has it 38-38, I've given it to Warburton 39-37...

Kean needs to get fitter and cut his fringe off.
Re: Conquest vs Mckenzie RBR
Early on his career he probably did better, but I don't think it's out of the question that he could have made it to title level and at that point the money would probably be better and there's still the option of going down the journeyman route later on to keep earning.columbo wrote:He probably makes a better living now than he would if he'd been managed like that though to be honest.expe wrote:Barry Jones has it 38-38, I've given it to Warburton 39-37...

76-76, 77-76, 77-76 MD win against Frank Haroche Horta.columbo wrote:I read that Andy Lee looked like crap tonight by the way?
Re: Conquest vs Mckenzie RBR
Glad Warburton didn't get robbed. Was worried when heard 39-38. That's a couple of decent wins for Warburton this year.
Re: Conquest vs Mckenzie RBR
Dunno what to make of Lee! He's got skills I think but seems to end up struggling against guys he shouldnt. Was that at middleweight by the way? I read somewhere that Lee was going down to light middle? I'm a bit out of the loop at the moment.expe wrote:76-76, 77-76, 77-76 MD win against Frank Haroche Horta.columbo wrote:I read that Andy Lee looked like crap tonight by the way?

11st 2lbs, Lee is going down to light middle, I'd expect the next fight to be for a title of some sort at 11st.columbo wrote:Dunno what to make of Lee! why the hell is he going down to light middle at this stage of his career?! Doesnt make a lot of sense that.

Re: Conquest vs Mckenzie RBR
Well if he can make the weight without feeling drained surely it's better, regardless of what stage he is at in his career. He might have just suddenly lost 5 or 6 pounds naturally.columbo wrote: why the hell is he going down to light middle at this stage of his career?! Doesnt make a lot of sense that.
Re: Conquest vs Mckenzie RBR
Yeah but why didnt he do that before? Just seems odd. Also it's probably gonna affect his punch resistance.jameswilson wrote:Well if he can make the weight without feeling drained surely it's better, regardless of what stage he is at in his career.
