Kell Brook is no angel and has at times taken things lightly and lost interest let things slip ie Carson Jones 1.
Eddie Hearn has been at fault for hyping opponents and not delivering on promises.
Sky have stuffed Kell down peoples throats at times and over hyped limited opposition.
Add in injuries and governing bodies allowing champions teams to manipulate the situation to benefit financially and or deny the mandatory a fight for whatever reason.
And you end up with a situation that would frustrate the most loyal of fans let alone the haters I get it believe me I get it.
Kell Brook has not been tested your right I wish to god he had cos its purgatory for him and us who believe he can be a champion.

I have to say i'm surprised at the calls for Khan to fight JMM next up. I'm not saying that it will be a poor fight or anything, i just really think that it is a massive step up for Khan and a fight he would lose.

Khan has styled a lot of his game on Pacquiao and is a lesser version of him (that's not just having a dig). JMM gave Pacquiao all kinds of trouble in every one of their fights and given Khan's lack of boxing brain, JMM would surely be a huge favourite if it was made this year?

I hope Marquez would be a big favourite as my money would be on Khan and I could do with having a bit in my pocket.

I put maidana but if i was khan,to push my stock up id fight jmm,i think he would either stop him or it would be a one sided floyd style defeat for jmm. I think maidana would be the best choice but i doubt he would fight him again. I also think he owes bradley and alexander a fight after virtually agreeing to fight bradley twice and pulling out and the same with devon. For us brits though the fight we would love to see is brook but ipolitics will get in the way of that one.

That's it! Just ignore the posts you don't like then fella. Hopefully Brook will get the chance to prove himself and come back then to answer people who have doubted him.

Also could everyone now refer to me as good looking Lenny

T, as you know i've been honest and vocal about how I think Kell's career has been up to now and i'm consistent with that. I do have a question though because of what you said about the mismanagement. He was offered the fight with Mike Jones back in the day in a WBO final eliminator to and either he or his dad turned it down? Is that true or was that bollocks?

A good fair assessment of the situation and echoes my feelings I don't really think like a previous poster said a win over JMM will give him much kudos as Bradley made him look old and laid the perfect blue print.
But was it not the most entertaining fight to watch IMO but agree its probably the best option for him in sting and out is great but watching it happen to a former great like Marques or indeed Barerra is uncomfortable.
I think Maidana having been in with Floyd and beaten Broner handily has improved a lot and grown in confidence.
I feel he did better in their first fight than people are happy to admit and you can show Khan whipping body shots and dropping him but Joe Cortez ignoring Khans fouls and deducting points from Maidana as well as ridiculously long counts while Amir tried to work out which way up he was were definitely factors.IMO
An acid test would be pacman or Bradley but both have big risks of derailing the money train.
The ghost would be a 50/ 50 fight winnable and even a cynic like me would see that as a good match.
Im gonna hope for gurerrro and expect JMM.
With Brook really needing a title before I think they should meet.

Ask PC and im sure he will know for sure but for my money Mike Jones was doing basically what Kell was on this side of the pond.
Fwank having good connections with the WBO then and to this day so he may have brokered a fight unless your in the room you wont know for sure.At that time though we were going to see Kell rip through opponents defending his British strap at 5.30 pm before the camera's were even in the building. And this was not looking like changing anytime soon.
It was the around the time Fwank started to lose his grip on british boxing IMO and if the fight was made im sure it would have had options loaded towards the Jones camp and Fwank.
Terry and Kell if they indeed where offered the fight would have looked at the deal and as at that time Mike Jones was more than on a par with Kell and looked a dangerous opponent would have wanted a fair deal.
Which you cant blame them for Jones potential was unknown at that stage and Fwank was treating Kell like shit crap opponents way down the bill and allegedly he is not the easiest fella to get your dough off if you know what I mean.
Mix in Kells a decent ticket seller even at that stage I can verify you could hear half of Wincobank in the stands.
They may well have passed up fwanks offer but im purely speculating hind sight is wonderfull and they may or may not regret their decision if indeed they made it but they weren't with him long after that.
Could be a smear campaign by fwank which is a very plausible argument he is not shy of saying he made great fights or offers that were turned down by fighters once they have moved on just ask Calzaghe/Hatton /Burns/Rhodes/Mitchell/well just about anyone who has ever worked with him really.
