Sorry, but Ward was simply outclassed by La Cruz. He got a boxing lesson. But he has done great against all other World class fighters including Olympic both finalists Egor Mekhontsev and Adilbek Nyazymbetov whom he has beaten.

id hardly call it a boxing lesson, throwing the occasional jab and running the whole fight is hardly a lesson, de la cruz made lara look aggresive in that fight

first round was very close, de la cruz won the other two rounds 30-27 on all scorcards, but it wasnt as if de la cruz did much he hit ward with the occasional jaba nd ran for the fight

Agree that Cam Awesome is pretty poor.
but he's easily the funniest superheavy in the world.
The fact that Cam Awesome has the USA amateur superheavy division on lockdown does not speak well for the future of US big guys in the sport. Maybe Darmani Rock will dethrone him, though.

He is just a fun type of guy his style is fan friendly and he is a very personable . He just won another International Gold Medal tonite and he defeated a Cuban

Yes to the smaller prestigious events eg the chemistry cup not this mickeys mouse tournament
For example the Russians don't send the first string to even major championships like the European championships they save them for the world and Olympics
Cam awesome beat the 5-6th choice Cuban, you need to brush up on your knowledge of international amatuer boxing
By the way there will be a draft similar to this in the wsb this year, all the worlds top amateurs will be entering as Olympic qualification is up for grabs

That's a bit harsh.Darmani is the current World champion and an Olympic silver medallist which hardly makes him a failure.He took his defeat with good grace and said he will go back to the gym on his return to the USA to work on the mistakes he made in China.
Everybody loses at some stage of their career.
not being harsh, but Scallum has been raving on about him for a while and it got a bit out of hand, i felt the German lad won the first fight and actually looked a better prospect than Rock, now his beaten him in a lot more convincing fashion
Fair enough Scallum can look after himself but the young man might read this forum and I think you could have rephrased it.Using the words "took a bit of a hiding" was a bit strong.
