Round 3 begins in center ring. Geale is moving less and firing more. He's determined to fight... Until he takes a shot and he's back in the retreat. They tie up around the two-minute mark. GGG got him cornered as he drenches the Aussie with power punches. Geale escapes. He's fighting valiantly. GGG looks as destructive as ever. GGG corners him again in the last 30 seconds and DOWN GOES GEALE!

He gets up but he is a bloody mess! And the ref stops the fight! Sensational performance by Gennady Golovkin!

Golovkin KO3!

Golovkin is a monster. Where is he on your P4P list Horse, 20 something? If you know anything about boxing you'll quickly realise how ridiculous that is.

He doesn't even look like he has to go through a gear.

Hmpfff. One more fight where ggg makes another world level fighter look like he cant box. He needs to move up now. Ggg takes chances though. Thats going to be punished one day.

Great performance from GGG!

Sad to see Dan lose but he gave it his best and landed some decent shots. The G train continues, and now I'm convinced enough to get on board

This concludes the fight and BetDSI.com's live round-by-round coverage.

The fight ended as Geale landed a right hand that appeared to upset Golovkin who immediately answered right back with a left hook, sending Daniel Geale trembling to the canvas.

He lay motionless for a split second before rising on unsteady legs.

In just three rounds, Golovkin managed to cut, batter, floor and defeat the Australian ex-champion to retain his WBA-middleweight title in a destructive performance.

Golovkin rises to 30 wins with 27 by KO.

Who's next for the KO machine? And more importantly, who can stand up to him?

Loefler doesn't look happy. How will he able to find a good opponent for Gennady now ? Everybody will want millions to get punishment from GGG.

Story of the fight in the last exchange. Geale connects with a nice right but GGG lands one better. Geale did what he could and gave it his best, but he didn't have the power to bother 3G. He is too dominant for anybody at 160 so he either moves up or we'll see more short fights, IMO

It won't he's just levels above. You could hit him with whatever you like and it doesn't affect him one bit. The only way Golovkin will get beat is if someone clinches, holds and spoils and they would have to do it to a level that clearly breaks rules and hope they get away with it.

I can't see anyone around his weight beating Golovkin.

GGG said his preference would be Cotto. Cotto would get brutalized.

Cotto is a warrior but he has no real leg movement, he won't want to fight at range or on the back foot and he's not a natural middleweight. I worry Golovkin will really hurt Cotto.

In his post-fight with HBO's Max Kellerman, Golovkin let's it be known what's he's about and who's on his radar.

"I'm ready for everybody," Golovkin said. "This is my style, like Mexican style. This is fight. This is not game, this is fight. I love fight."

Another quality performance, that was a sweet punch considering he got hit flush while trying to get it off. Hope he can get a fight with Cotto, or at least get the opportunity to unify but I don't see it happening anytime soon.

That said, I don't think he would be nearly as effective at 168 if fighting world level guys. The fighters are bigger and better.... There's no reason to go up unless the money on offer is huge or he cant make the weight anymore. He's making good money and no one can touch him at 160. He just needs to keep doing what he's doing and hoping he can some how force some unification fights.

Agree. There would really be no reason for GGG to move up to 168. GGG is the roadblock at 160.

Why would Golovkin move up? He holds all the cards if people want to challenge him make them move up or down.

Does Golovkin beat Ward? He has excellent defense along with the style to spoil Golovkin and smother his offense. More importantly, Ward is superb at landing stiff inside shots while tying up his opponent.

Interesting fight. What do you guys say?

Promoter Gary Shaw, Geale's promoter, says, "In all my years of boxing, Golovkin is the best 160-pounder I have ever seen."

Golovkin beats Ward. The only chance Ward has is if he clinches all fight and the ref allows it.

Shocking that his promoter would say that.
