Dirrell beat Froch. Clearly.

When Floyd does it it's a master class. When someone else does it they're "running".

Dirrell is unbeaten.

I did, and I only see one fight in Athens Olympics.

FMJ stays in the pocket and avoids punches.
Dirrell was more Lara than Floyd that night. He lost.

I know you were. I was making a point that Dirrell does better in the ams and sparring as he isn't getting hit in the head without protection.
That's due to his lack of heart.

I am not finding Dirrell's win, because it never happened. They fought once and Golovkin won.

Watch it again. Dirrell was flopping all night every time Carl got close. He was in reverse gear the whole time, which isn't necessarily a bad thing as of itself, but he wasn't fighting effectively off the back foot at all. Dirrell was being hunted and he was never in control. It was close and messy, but Dirrell did not deserve the nod.

Who cares who won in Athens. It's diff game now. Froch, mind you, was a great SMW when they fought. He hits hard and had great chin. I think Andre has been too inactive to dominate, much less win. He needs few fights back and could do well vs. a very active GGG (who fights 4-5x per yr w/little punishment). Not huge fan of either BTW

If Dirrell had the heart and balls of Froch he would be a world beater. One seriously talented fighter, but without the cajones to go with it, it aint Gonna happen.

Out of all the super middleweights around over the past few years, Dirrell for me has the best skillset by far. If he can get his mind right he could do great things.

I'd love to see him in with a top guy next to show what he can do.

I respectfully disagree. The best skillset...by far? He was very good, but was he much better than Jermain Taylor? The same Taylor that embarrassed Froch for 10.5 rds. What about Ward? 168lb Chad Dawson in good form?

I think in terms of skill, speed, technique, conditioning and power Dirrell matches any of the guys you mention. He lacks something though and that appears to be a mental rather than physical trait.

I don't think Taylor was embarrassing Froch either. Remember the press row scores had it almost dead level going into the last and the Official scores were close as well. Taylor gassed out, which has been a weakness of his.

Froch did well in the early rounds with imposing himself and pressuring Dirrell., but from the middle to the last rounds Dirrell was boxing and countering really well. Particularly with some hard accurate rights, some of which that staggered Froch a few times.

I had Dirrell edging the fight if anyone cares  :bag:

Dirrell would have panic attacks that would put him in the Hospital if he signed to fight GGG. And his fleeing style wouldn't cause a bit of trouble if he actually made it to the ring. Andre would quit in short order.
