Since I think it never happens now, how do you guys see that fight going down?

Read quote from BHOP sometime that he's thought Kova was easier matchup. Just mental games (IMO). IT'S the fight I preferred honestly. I can't see him waiting until mid-2015 or later for possible showdown with Adonis--who will be 38 next yr. Same as I'll be, also -- which ain't young. He's seems like a late bloomer so he'll most certainly be around after Bhop retires.

Would Adonis be too slick/fast/strong for BH? I don't think Adonis is SMART or SKILLED ENOUGH to catch Alien consistently

I think Stevenson is the easier match-up than Kovalev. Kovalev seems to have more skill at hitting you from any angle. Stevenson seems to just have cannons for arms. I think Hopkins can avoid cannons more easily than he can avoid getting hit from every angle.

Stevenson would be a much tougher match up for BHop than Kovalev, for one he's faster and he's a SP (but Nard does great against them) and he has better boxing pedigree and defense than Sergey.

I think this would be the fight that would be the toughest Hopkins has had in years/definitely more complicated than a fight with a guy like Kovalev.

Adonis' skills are deep rooted in boxing coming out of the Kronk Gym.

Pre Steward, BHop would've dealt with him easily... But now Stevenson boxes laterally more and has decent in and out movement with the straight punch arsenal, it will be a tougher task. BHOP will have to cover more and would get hit to the body a lot.

People who are picking Kovalev are doing so based on his power, they have feel in love with his ability to KO a bunch of bum nobodies and they're dismissing BHop because they think he is past it/old.

The more I breakdown this bout in my mind the more it looks like Hopkins vs Pavlik all over again except that Nard will be conservative on his punch output and Sergey doesn't throw as many punches as Pavlik and he's far slower too.

People who are picking Kovalev are doing so based on his power, they have feel in love with his ability to KO a bunch of bum nobodies and they're dismissing BHop because they think he is past it/old.
