I'd favour Ryder in a rematch, and he isn't nearly world level.
I can also see Eubank Jr more than holding his own in this fight.

I think he is more than capable. I think he is also capable of spending the fight not throwing punches and instead just posturing.lefty wrote:You fancying a Eubank Jr stoppage aswell mate?DMA1987 wrote:You really think so? Re: Billy Joe Saunders v Eubank Jnr
Too soon for Eubanks, he hasn't stepped up yet and this is a big ask, he needs another year
Re: Billy Joe Saunders v Eubank Jnr
I disagree. He has fought bums but he's looked very impressive in the way he has dealt with those guys and he more than held his own in the sparring with Froch by all accounts and Groves talks very highly about him aswell. In terms of pure experience yeah he's not on Saunder's level but I think providing he doesnt do what DMA mentioned and just stand there not throwing punches then I think it will be a relatively close fight but Eubanks Speed and power will prevail and I think he'll take Billy out in impressive fashion.Coco wrote:Too soon for Eubanks, he hasn't stepped up yet and this is a big ask, he needs another year
Re: Billy Joe Saunders v Eubank Jnr
Maybe he will, I agree he has been impressive so far but Saunders is leagues above the opponents Jnr has faced, and with his extensive amateur experience added I think it would be unwise to drop him in so deep. Eubanks has many options and I think it will be a bad match for him, while it is of course refreshing Chris can pick a much easier path, Billy Joe will keep. The Brighton man needs to add to his experience first.lefty wrote:I disagree. neither fight will take place, the whole card will collapse. I really do not think Fury Chisora will come off. So in my opinion it will be those 2 who will pull out with the bill going down the pan.

I think if Fury v Chisora collapsed but the EUbank vsaunders fight was happening that the bill would go ahead, it's a big fightmimmy123 wrote:neither fight will take place, the whole card will collapse. Re: Billy Joe Saunders v Eubank Jnr
I know Eubank Jnr has fought no one of any note but hes looked one vicious and dangerous fornicator doing it. It really wouldn't surprise me if Eubank got Billy Joe out of there. I'm actually really surprised the fight has been made so early for Eubank and as a lot of people have said on here i wouldn't get too excited about it till they were both walking to the ring. Surely Warren couldn't afford another big night that never happened.

Re: Billy Joe Saunders v Eubank Jnr
Surprised by how many fancy Eubank to win this one.
I really hope it comes off but in reality I would be amazed if Eubank Snr lets the fight happen - the gulf in experience - amateur and pro - is massive between Saunders and Eubank Jnr.
Saunders was an Olympian at 18 fighting Cubans and other elite level amateur boxers

whilst Eubank was having scraps with hoodies in car parks...

I will always pick the well schooled experienced boxer over the flashier, 'name' fighter in this sort of match up

Just goes to show the state of British boxing when most don't even believe it will happen , more predict a pullot than a winner . Personaly i'm not even convince the Fury fight will go ahead , never mind this one ..
Is a bit over board swearing on his kids life , Yikes , made me squirm that comment

Re: Billy Joe Saunders v Eubank Jnr
I'm not sure what to expect should this be made, as I don't have a strong idea of how good Eubank is given his opposition. He looked fairly average at the start career, and while there is probably a great chance that he's improved his recent blowouts have been against very weak opponents. It's one thing when a fighter looks great against opposition that is only a level or two below an opponent he is stepping up to fight, but Saunders is many leagues above fighters like Jukic and Micsko.

Eubank jr late stoppage. I have no real preference, I think this will be great for both fighters.

Start a poll, like I did with Groves and Galahad.187 wrote:It's a fight I'm excited about big time.
Only annoying thing is having two huge shows on the same night. Whichever one you watch avoiding the results in the other will be difficult
Re: Billy Joe Saunders v Eubank Jnr
Strange timing with Saunders on the verge of a WBO title fight. I would have seen this more for early/ mid next year. Get Eubank Jnr a top 15 ranking with the WBO and there we have Saunders' first voluntary defence of his title.
Rate them both, but for me we don't know Eubank's level but we've seen Saunders struggle at the top end of domestic class (Ryder). So with that in mind, I'm going to chance it and say Eubank

Eubank already has a top 15 ranking with the WBO at middleweightstujones wrote:Strange timing with Saunders on the verge of a WBO title fight. I would have seen this more for early/ mid next year. Re: Billy Joe Saunders v Eubank Jnr
How on earth does he keep getting a British title shot, he has lost whenever he has stepped up and has not won anything of note since Billie Jo beat him before, but Eubank jr is a tough fight for Billie Jo, can see him taking the titles off Billie Jo, maybe by stoppage, but surely it can't be made as a world title eliminator ? might be for the British ?Terry Dooley wrote:Nick Blackwell's the mandatory, purse bids due in Oct then fight by Jan, so they'll have to iron that out first before securing the British.ste1983 wrote:I'm gathering its not for the British as the board wouldn't sanction it?
But the European will, weird that
Re: Billy Joe Saunders v Eubank Jnr
BJS should be retiring soon then !
Re: Billy Joe Saunders v Eubank Jnr
I would assume that Fury and Chisora wasn't selling as well as Frank hoped. Probably why it was moved away from the MEN.stujones wrote:Strange timing with Saunders on the verge of a WBO title fight. Re: Billy Joe Saunders v Eubank Jnr
Eubank Jr has a fight scheduled before this one as well. Against Jez Wilson in Liverpool in October.
The opposite of when he was under Hennessy and had that six months where he didn't fight at all.

You really have to make your mind up wether , Eubanks opponents have made him look good , or is he actually good , personaly i've not seen enough of him to make my mind up , so i'll sit on the fence .ILikeBeer wrote:Me too.crusader wrote:I'm surprised that so many are going for Eubank.
But if anyone really wants him to lose , just ask me nice , and i'll pick him to win easy , and gaurantee a loss , Its called the death pick
