I thought you lot would have more important stuff to discuss, like how deteriorated he was, and what a helmet he came across begging for a third fight whilst wearing a giant cap and 'Beats by Dre'

#AndTheTrue

Let's compare their comeback fights against Abraham and Bute, how they ended - and put them alongside Rebrasse.
Disagree with the #andthetrue. That tags falls to Ward who comfortably took care of Froch and is someone Froch never ever mentions. To be fair to Froch I think he excepts that he is the second best in the division, which is still a very good level because it is a division stacked with talent.

Is Ward really that relevant anymore? One fight in two years?
He seems to like sitting doing nothing and enjoying the lack of threat that comes from that approach. Shame because he is a quality fighter. Still, he can just sit there and watch the others battle it out. I bet he earns a fortune doing that...

You get the feeling from Groves that he would fight Froch as many times as it took until he fluked a win then turn around and say that he knew he was the better man all along, even if it was 9-1 to froch.

Which he don't seem to help. He is not only an awkward fighter to fight against in the ring.
Didnt he once say 'If I fight Kovalev and beat him then what?' That's a terrible attitude if true.
He wants all the advantages, doesn't bring big money and seemingly thinks because he is number one that he doesn't have to prove himself by fighting challengers. Er, once you are number one your job is to repel challengers to your throne!

I would agree with that. It always frustrated me that said he would only give Froch a re-match in America.

Yes his band of London followers booed Froch, but I can assure you 'oop North' people think Groves is a prick and are bored of his cocky Cockney bravado. Get a title, fight some meaningful people at World level and then call out Froch if he's still around, cos to be honest, it's really boring!!
The only person that's deluded is Froch,! second best at the weight talks rubbish is and always in the shadow of Calzaghe, a bitter
and twisted individual.

Wards definitely the best at 'winning' in the division, but his fights can't draw flies.

His fights with Green, Bika and Kessler were absolutely awful.

You can tell he was a high school wrestling champion and almost took that up instead of boxing.

I reckon Joe Calzag would've raped him in his prime. Scum style (in the green house). Can't stand Froch.

I don't think Calzaghe would've lost a round against Froch, he was way, way too quick and unlike someone like Groves he would go the whole twelve rounds not fade after the first five or six. Froch comes on strong late on in fights when fighters begin to tire, he wouldn't have been able to do that against Calzaghe.

The cap was bloody awful and what is it with headphones round his neck in the ring? Almost as ridiculous as Broner with that stupid brush.

Like he raped Evans Ashira ?

A man destroyed at 154 then took Joe the distance at (his only) fight at 168.

Salem and Bika had success against Joe. Both tough and awkward fighters. Nobody has an easy night against Froch. People always talk about him being slow, easy to read yet nobody completely outclasses him.

Joe would have beat him because of his work rate. Carl isn't a wet behind the ears slugger though, he wouldn't have been outclassed. I imagine a kind of 116-112 scorecard between the two.

Wasn't that the fight where Joe fought for about ten rounds with one arm?

Yeah it was, it was on ITV & think it was the fight before Calzaghe took on Lacy.

But let's not debate Froch vs Calzaghe again, I don't think there's anything left to be said.

As much as I don't like the twat, Froch is a British legend in the game, not a crossover star though, although he may be now.

Yeah, people let their opinion of him as a person cloud their judgement of him as a fighter.

The opposition he has fought, titles he has won etc, its virtually unprecedented for a British fighter.
