What does the future hold for Daniel Geale?

Geale has a bout coming up in December. Fletcher seems to be the name being mentioned as his likely opponent.

That would be a good matchup, well, good for the winner, the loser's career, at least as a contender, is over. Geale should win a decision, though a stoppage wouldn't shock me.

Geale should win that fight. Like I said in my original post, for me Geale has always been at the same kind of level as Macklin and those kind of guys which is short of Martinez (before he fell apart) and GGG but at the higher end of the division. Fletcher on the other hand is rubbish I think. He was knocked out in 2 rounds by BJS who isnt really a puncher either. How comes Geale vs Soliman isnt being made? Surely that would be quite a big fight and money maker over there?

I wouldn't call Fletcher rubbish - he's beaten Max Bursak and won a gold medal as an amateur at the Commonwealth Games, neither of which you do by being a rubbish boxer. However, would definitely say that he is not world class - he was in with a world class fighter in Danny Jacobs and was comprehensively beaten. Unless something has happened to Geale, he should beat Fletcher comfortably. I see Geale was being a good B-level fighter, while Fletcher is more of a good domestic fighter who will always fall short when he steps up.

Fletcher has proven himself capable but not top shelf. I think Geale will win if they meet.
