WHO BEATS NICHOLAS WALTERS AT FEATHERWEIGHT?
Re: WHO BEATS NICHOLAS WALTERS AT FEATHERWEIGHT?
It's funny how not too long ago we had a bunch of people here stating how Rigo was lucky in beating Donaire and now that Nonito has lost then it's "he's shot" all of a sudden.
I wonder how a fighter can become sooooo shot in a span of two fights or so.
Today's boxing fans, lol
Back in the day losing often or getting beaten to a pulp meant so little in the way of calling a fighter shot, today you lose one time or get beaten handily or struggle (if you're a top opponent) with lesser competition and it equals you being a "shot" fighter.

I don't recall many people here claiming that Rigo was lucky to beat Donaire. Was it the same people who are now calling the latter shot as you suggest or was it other posters?

Against:
Mares - 90%
Golzalez - 80
Selby - 70
Gradovich - 60
Rigo - 50
Lomachenko - 40
Mares - 90%
Golzalez - 80
Selby - 70
Gradovich - 60
Rigo - 50
Lomachenko - 40
I dont think he beats Gradovich. He aint that limited ask the Australian dude. I agree though if he gets his hands on some kind of title, even a fake one, Eddie will milk it till the doomsday with "doemstic dustups" noone want to see outside Leeds.lefty wrote: Selby will beat the very limited Gradovich and then milk that title for all it's worth against the likes of Warrington. I bet we wont see him fighting the likes of Walters, Gonzalez, Mares, Donaire, etc for awhile to put it lightly.

He is the best fighter I have seen from the Caribbean since Julian Jackson, he could beat any of the top guys but can also be beaten, I would give him a 50/50 shot.

Walters vs Lomo would be tough but no way in hell that Russell touches him and if he did he wouldnt make him blink.
Re: WHO BEATS NICHOLAS WALTERS AT FEATHERWEIGHT?
Rigo, Lomo, Mikey Garcia (if Walters moved up).
Every other guy around the weight he crushes. Those are the 2, or 3 tests for him.

Re: WHO BEATS NICHOLAS WALTERS AT FEATHERWEIGHT?
Donaire's poor tactics made Walters look better than he actually is. Welshjack mentioned Lee Selby as a possible future opponent and was laughed at. However if Lee can take Walters power (and that's a big 'if') then he could outbox Walters. Walters is technically pretty average.
Re: WHO BEATS NICHOLAS WALTERS AT FEATHERWEIGHT?
Mares, Rigondeaux, Lomachenko beat him clearly, in my view.
I'm 50/50 on Gradovich, pretty much the same for Gonzalez.
He's a big, strong featherweight, and he can certainly beat a lot of guys, saying he loses to those above is not saying he's a bad fighter. But I don't think he's ultimately on their level. Donaire can be a bit lazy anyway, and still hurt Walters. But his heart doesn't seem to be in it anymore.

Re: WHO BEATS NICHOLAS WALTERS AT FEATHERWEIGHT?
Lomachenko has the highest chance, but other than him, I am confident nobody beats Walters at 126 for the next 2-years.. After that Walters needs to move up.

I don't recall anyone calling Rigo lucky, or Donaire "shot" now.crusader wrote:I don't recall many people here claiming that Rigo was lucky to beat Donaire. Was it the same people who are now calling the latter shot as you suggest or was it other posters?
Re: WHO BEATS NICHOLAS WALTERS AT FEATHERWEIGHT?
Loma and Rigo would probably beat Walters. Gonzalez is a really experienced fighter, I think it would be a very close fight.
