When it comes to Groves you make a fool out of yourself.

Groves is the only fighter that Froch has fought in the last 18 months and he lost more rounds than he won. If Groves is garbage then Froch is washed up.

I copy and paste it and I don't plan on thinking of you.

Every time you put Groves down you also degrade Froch's legacy.

I thought Groves won the last fight-havent seen the amateur contest so cannot judge that. I think DeGale got psyched more than anything in the last one. I think he genuinely thought he was going to walk through Groves last time, and when Groves didnt fall over and started punching back and boxing well, I think that DeGale just couldnt adjust.

I cant see them fighting each other unless it is for a world title, but Degale has spent years treading water, and for a guy with loads of talent he needs to get a shift on or he will find it has passed him by.

I think Groves has gone backwards in the last 3 fights where Degale has improved quite alot.If Degale is more aggressive like his last couple of fights i can see him stopping Groves

Degale's been looking great since round about the time he went with Hennessey, its looking like the injuries may be a thing of the past,he was under a lot of pressure to leave Jim McDonnell but showed loyalty and looks on the verge of finally geting his shot

Groves has looked a bit jaded since the Froch fights,i dont know if its motivation or if it stems deeper.he needs a big test next up or another sub par performance could affect his confidence and loss a bit of momentum

I'd fancy DeGale to win if they fought next

I think by loosing Booth Groves lost his one and only advantage from the first fight, tactical discipline. So I agree with Froch, rematch would be a mismatch.

No, I thought his victory was clear in a close fight. I didn't say he dominated, you're confusing yourself...

A clear win simply means there is no confusion to who won the fight - as you can see, there are a lot of people who thought DeGale won the fight - so it wasn't a clear win - even the decision with the judges was a majority decision - so it is hardly a clear win.

clear adjective \ˈklir\
: very obvious : not causing or allowing doubt

: easily understood

: free from doubt or confusion

Yes...and my OPINION is that there was no doubt that Groves won a close decision.

What don't you get about an opinion? I respect the fact that you have a different one but it doesn't change the fact that to me there was no doubt that Groves won.

Because it wasn't a clear win, you should choose your semantics a bit more carefully, how can a fight be a clear win when half the people on here though Groves lost? And the judges had it 115-114, 115-114 and 114-114 - that is two points difference between three judges - that is as close as it gets.

If you thought (opinions aside) that Groves clearly won, then you are not much of a judge, who taught you how to score a fight? Terry O'Connor?

You should apply to be a judge, you'll fit right in.

Jesus, if it's that time of the month Fat Git then maybe I should just agree with you. You're a touchy sod aren't you?

I thought there was no doubt that Groves won, you disagree. Where's the problem?

I think groves needs to go begging to Adam booth, give him anything he wants and then we will see groves win again against degale. I didn't see Saturday, will find on YouTube tonight but he wasn't great against rebrasse, was winning the second froch fight but you could see that eventually by his constant rolling off the ropes froch would tag him eventually. I think with booth in his corner he would have controlled the first froch fight and when he was atarting to gas, been getting in and out not trying to stand.

If he stays with paddy then I don't see him winning. But I think Eddie is hopping froch vacates, degale fights for the ibf early 2015, groves fights for the WBC early 2015 and comes through and we have a massive unification, epic trilogy between 2 guys who don't like each other.

Because it is a case of semantics - it is like saying x place is really near, but it is far. It can't be close but a clear win
for Groves. A clear win would mean Groves won clearly (116-112 or a stoppage win etc). A close win means some people
might not agree because it was thatclose.

That fight was close as - now if you think Groves won then fair enough, I probably shouldn't put so much stock
into the semantics of your post but it is my job outside internet bickering to decipher this kind of thing, so please
forgive me Mark.

So - I am happy you think Groves won - loads of people agree, two judges also did which was the most important factor. :TU:

If people think Groves will beat Degale again if he has Booth in his corner, then they must obviously think Groves is the better boxer surely? Its basically saying Degale will beat groves but not because he is a better but because Groves fought the wrong fight!

Still see it as a close fight. It kind of depends how much the Froch loss has taken out of Groves.

I didn't see this weekends fight, as I refused to pay for it and hate live streams. How did they look? Was the DeGale stoppage as bad as is being said?
