Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dereck Chisora RBR
Final round...
Both men standing close... trading blows... Sykes would need a kayo to win...
Seems Walsh and Sykes have a mutual agreement "If youre gonna take me out, do it now!"
So theres no real boxing happening here, just standing their ground trading...
Something tells me... though the torch has been passed... that Liam Walsh will be one hell of a British/Commonwealth Featherweight champion...
Good fight

Credit to both fighters, tough bout, entertaining, it's the younger fighter's day but well done GS for keeping coming forward through it all. Someone's gotta lose and you can't go down any more bravely than that.

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dereck Chisora RBR
WBO European Super Middleweight championship..... Andrew Robinson (undefeated) vs Frank Buglioni (14-1, 11)...
I love matches with dynamics like this, Italian vs African, etc.
He (Buglioni) was the former WBO European SMW champion, hoping to regain it tonight...
On paper it seems Buglioni fought the tougher opposition, and is younger than Robinson...

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dereck Chisora RBR
Round One...
(18,000+ in attendance for this show, btw)
This fight is scheduled for 10 rounds... somewhat odd to see that...
Buglioni stalking Robinson... man, the Italian has wide shoulders...
Buglioni is tee'ing off on Robinson... and Robinson turned it around and had Buglioni rocked momentarily...
Both men had their moments, but think maybe Robinson edges the round...

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dereck Chisora RBR
Round Two...
Robinson, for being undefeated, surprises me as his head movement was almost non-existant in round one...
Then again, neither did Buglioni have much head movement...
Buglioni being the aggressor in this round, but is somewhat slower paced round...
Buglioni putting together combinations... and the Italian wins the round

Round Three...
Fairly competitive, both men landing shots... slower paced round...
Will argue that Robinson edged the round... more active in there than the Italian

Round Four...
Buglioni landing deep body shots... Robinson seems to be getting slower, and losing power in his shots...
Will argue though that Robinson landed the best punches of the round (flush punches) but Buglioni just threw far more

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dereck Chisora RBR
Round Five... halfway through this contest... and I think it's fair to say that Buglioni's experience with tougher opponents is showing... Robinson, though, is a talented guy...
Big problem with the Italian, is his defense is not the best, and he has a fairly soft chin. Then again, most of the big punchers aren't using to getting hit.... the Italian hurts Robinson with a combination...
For some reason, the Italian is fighting off the ropes, which only gave Robinson an opprotunity to land and score alot of shots, and Buglioni loses that round...

There isn't much to lose. The guy had 4 KOs in 13 fights against punching bags.HomicideHenry wrote:Robinson seems to be getting slower, and losing power in his shots...

Round Six...
Buglioni being aggressive this round... its starting to get sloppy...
The effects of both men's punches are showing... Robinson's gum shield came out... had to be cleaned...
Buglioni wins the round, but was competitive...

Round Seven...
"Championship rounds"... slower paced round, both men content to throw jabs...
If Robinson doesn't do much of anything soon, he's going to lose this fight on a wide margin...
Robinson got dropped... the bell saves him (it rang 2-3 seconds after he beat the count)

What's sad is that Buglioni got hurt quite a few times in this contest by a man who doesnt have much punching power...ikorolev wrote:There isn't much to lose. Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dereck Chisora RBR
Round Eight.,..
Will the Italian manage to stop Robinson in this round?
Buglioni throwing BOMBS.... and Robinson managed to survive.... PHENOMENAL!
Buglioni used up alot of energy, and is slowing down... but the Italian comes back hard, and Robinson nearly touched canvas, and its truly amazing that these two are so dead exhausted, and arm weary and still throwing leather...
I hope Buglioni's excessive power punches hasn't zapped him of his strength... but great round!

Round Nine...
Slow paced round... back to jabbing... certainly both men needed a breather after that last round...
Buglioni is too burnt out, and Robinson is too hurt, to really take advantage of the excess energy used up in round 8
Robinson puts together a good combination... if Buglioni isnt careful, he may get caught with a good shot
Robinson wins the round...

Final round...
Both men in close quarters, standing their ground... One thing I will say about Robinson, is even if he's beaten relative nonentities in the British scene, the man is certainly no bum... he keeps going on in boxing he will be again in contention for this title... Buglioni looks like he has a cut eye... Buglioni lands a triple hook... Buglioni has gotten hurt... but he makes it... and Buglioni (imho) loses that round... but it goes without saying that the Italian has won the contest.
I cant help but think, though, had this been TWELVE instead of TEN... Buglioni may of gotten stopped by Robinson.

WBO European Super Featherweight Championship, Mitchell Smith vs. Zoltan Kovacs...
Zoltan (Hungarian champion, 11-4, 3 as a pro) and Smith (9-0, 4)...
On paper, looks to be a competitive fight all around... no mismatch or paper fighter bs here...

Round One...
("The Baby Faced Assasin" Mitchell Smith is no lie, though 22, he looks like he's effing 12 years old lmao)
Mitchell is as slippery as a damn eel... very elusive... but willing to mix it up in there from time to time... Zoltan Kovacs comes forward, and tries to impose his strength on the kid... Mitchell wins the round

Round Two...
Zoltan coming out strong, digging to the body.... few seconds later BLAM... Smith drops Kovacs
Mitchell slips... Let this fight be a lesson to those who base things on appearances... never judge a book by its cover... the "man-child" is making the taller, stronger Hunagrian look like an amateur out there...

Round Three...
Very hard to land a clean shot to the head of Smith... am surprised Kovacs doesnt try to go to the body more...
Both men wrestle to the floor... Kovacs is obviously frustrated... Smith taunts at the Hungarian

Round Four...
(next up is Frankie Gavin and Bradley Skeete)
Kovacs trying to close the distance... Isn't making much of an impact, though... Smith too elusive...
And it's obvious that Smith is the harder puncher...

Kovacs is having a better round... Smith has slight swelling around an eye...
But... Smith won the round comfortably...

Round Six...
And more of the same... I have a general feeling that Smith may win this one 10 rounds to none...
Kovacs did have a moment or two in there... but the level of skill between the two is blatantly obvious...

Round Seven... "championship rounds"...
(Btw, why are all these 10 rounders?)
Smith landed a punch in the back of the head, then landed a double hook... Kovacs and him traded words... both men trading blows... Smith's style (historically) reminds me of Tommy Burns, darting in and out of range and leaping forward with a right hook or overhand...

Easily won round for Smith... there was a moment or two it seemed Smith could of followed up and hurt Kovacs, but it didnt happen... 8 rounds to zero thus far for Smith...

Round Nine...
Alot of tough, durable men on tonight's card... I will say that much... this fight, competitive and having its moments of excitment, is the least entertaining of the night (thus far)... but must say Kovacs is yet another tough man, game and willing, but just doesnt have the ability to challenge the native Britain... its more of the same with Smith just making a monkey out of the Hungarian... the thought has crossed my mind, that maybe Smith may be the next star out of Britain...
