No cabs outside the venue? Strange that.

Nothing apart from the stabbing sounds (unfortunately) out of the ordinary to me. Coke use, mass brawls (mag7 card, prizefighter olympia), pissed up pudenda and general wankers.

Makes the hatton fights look like WI meetings

It is a massive shame, my experience of live shows in NY and Montreal are not the same and are much more enjoyable.

From what I am reading I'd say it's more a problem with the Excel rather than Queensbury. If I'm not wrong this is the first time in a while a Matchroom, Queensbury or Hennessy show (ie televised) has been on at the Excel. There haven't been reactions like this to a card in a long while.

There's still a hooligan mentality with a section of young British men, it's always been there and it's ugly.

I wouldn't let the stories on here etc stop you. Yeah I've seen bits of trouble and most the things mentioned above but if you don't get yourself involved you really have to be very unlucky to get caught up in anything.

Best security i've ever seen was at a show years ago in Adelaide Australia . The main event was a Hells angel associate . The Angels promoted the show , and supplied the security .

Believe me every person in there walked around with a smile on there face , nodding hello , how are you , have a good night , , The pissed up and dickheads , soon quietened down when they relized besides being asked to behave , they were even being filmed just in case there was a future reference needed .
Dickheads and bullies are the same over the world if they knowit will come and bite them on the ass , they behave .

Last year for matchroom wasn't it? About this time of year. Wasn't any real problems that night except for a few girls having a punch up but was on a much smaller scale as an event. I do agree Excel is a horrible venue the toilet and getting into the arena being the bits that whenever I have been, have caused a real problem - regardless of who the promoter is/how big the attendance is.

They also did the security at the Rolling Stones gig where they allegedly killed a person - they were quite 'hands on' that night! :o

People who attend know, or should know, how that event works. For an event on that scale, it causes the local police very few problems. Glastonbury has many times more arrests, for example.

It was the same at the McCracken v Till bout. McCracken was a big Blues supporter.
