The first definition of 'exposed' when I type 'define: exposed' into Google is: make (something) visible, typically by uncovering it. People use words differently and there are often multiple definitions of the same word, so the best way to discern what someone intends to convey is to use the context in which those words are used. Given the thread starter's full post in which they clearly ask if Wilder's power was overrated due to his poor opposition, acknowledge that he rocked Stiverne multiple times, and don't mention at any point that he may be powerless, I think it's obvious that they're soliciting opinions about whether this fight made it visible that his power was flattered by his poor opposition rather than questioning whether he can punch at all. There are also no posts thereafter in which it's suggested that Wilder may have no power, so no, it's not me who is distorting the questions and positions being offered; you're addressing a position which hasn't been taken by anyone in this thread.zorndeslammes wrote:The original poster used a term that has almost universal understanding in the boxing community and a dictionary definition. *You* are the one wanting to redirect this into being a discussion of semantics because, I suppose, that makes for a path in which we can say he was "exposed" without looking totally ridiculous.crusader wrote:
I think you've clearly built a strawman.
But go ahead and keep mentioning that the fight didn't show that Wilder can't punch even though no one is disagreeing with you.
