It must be a big name, if he thinks he can fill Wembley.

I think Khan vs Brook would sell. Do all the big build up, bit of a rivalry brewing already, some WWE-style antics on Ringside and a load of PPV hype and I think it'd sell to the casuals definitely.

A HD feed for Mayweather Alvarez in the US was $74.99 PPV! Casinos literally throw money into the pot to generate big vegas weekends. What will wembley do? Charge the promoter, be a logistical nightmare, provide a crap tarporline over the ring to protect the fighters from the inevitable drizzle and provide crap views for every paying fan bar ringside!

I agree with pretty much everything you say. The only reason i can think of for Khan to try and fight a real big name over here is that he would try and leverage a bigger percentage of the purse.

Khan v (for example) Pacquiao in Vegas - Pacman would have every right to dictate terms as he is the ticket seller, ppv face and basically the attraction. Khan is just a good name opponent.

In london, Khan can argue that he is a big part of the attraction too and will generate sales for the fight.

I still think Khan is very much the 'B' side fighter even if it was in London but it will help his case for more money

I'm still waiting for a big fight to materialize in the U.A.E. The UFC held an event there in Dubai last year which was successful ($3.5 million live gate) and I believe the Brazilian JuiJitsu world championships are held in Abu Dhabi so they do like their combat sports. Lord knows there is enough money out there.
