This is a great start to boxing in 2015, just hope the figures are strong enough to convince ITV to have a serious go at bringing boxing back.
Sky recently is doing a very poor job & if it wasn't for the NFL I'd have cancelled long ago, and as the season ends come Sunday night I reckon I'll be doing just that. Bellew/ Clev was the last straw for me. Fwank does a good job, but still not convinced we're getting enough actual boxing for a dedicated boxing channel, might be enough to keep the hardcore fans but not enough content to attract the more casual fans.
Maybe ITV being interested again forces everyone to raise their game & we get the revival that boxing deserves & that many hoped we were going to get after the huge success of Froch/ Groves 2. The audience is there clearly.

Haha same here, I'll be promoting it like crazy to everyone I know. I usually get accused of working for B0x nation or Sky at least once a week by someone as I'm always doing my best to raise the profile of fights - will be nice to promote something that everyone can watch without having to pay a subscription!handsofstone wrote:Superb stuff,it cant come soon enough, I'm gonna spend the coming weeks telling anyone who'll listen Carl Frampton's gonna be a star and they have to watch him,get on it early and enjoy the ride![]()
If 10 people I tell watch it and Frampton wins then 5 of them will believe me

I only know one other guy personally who has it, despite my best efforts to attract new subscribers. Doesn't sound like we're very good salesmen!handsofstone wrote:Boxerbeetle wrote:Haha same here, I'll be promoting it like crazy to everyone I know. I know at least 30. Most of my pals are amateurs, unlicensed or pro though, or ex!handsofstone wrote:Boxerbeetle wrote:Haha same here, I'll be promoting it like crazy to everyone I know. with the extra exposure on itv when carl fights in america he will bring a big crowd as welllillywhite14 wrote:mullenman wrote:great news
I was a critic of Barry but fair play to him and his team for pulling this off.
Frampton can become the next coming of ricky hatton
Hatton never fought on ITV did he!? He was a one off, he brought the football crowd with him and he is English.
This is great news though. Pleased for all involved. Hopefully Frampton does the business which whets ITV's appetite and we see more boxing on the channel!
More importantly though, does this mean a return of the big fight live music!!!?
