Terry Flanagan v Steve Ormond
Re: Terry Flanagan v Steve Ormond
Got Flanagan 1,2,5 and Ormond 3 & 4
48-47 F
Flanagan needs to keep using his feet, far more effective. As soon as he goes toe to toe, Ormond is the boss.

Incredibly close fight, 3-2 either way through 5 or even 2-2-1

Re: Terry Flanagan v Steve Ormond
,I think the majority of Flanaghan's shots are getting blocked on the gloves.
Facially Ormond looks old though

Agree. Going to be interesting to see who fades first. Style wise it should be Flanagan, but he has some engine.Boxing Prospect wrote:Incredibly close fight, 3-2 either way through 5 or even 2-2-1

Re: Terry Flanagan v Steve Ormond
6th Ormond, 7th Flanagan. 67-66 F. Close rounds again though. Ormond landing bigger single shots, but Flanagan has the volume.

Nothing in this championship rounds are going to decide it.

Re: Terry Flanagan v Steve Ormond
I actually think Ormond in ahead by a couple or more rounds. He blocks most of Flannagan's shots

Re: Terry Flanagan v Steve Ormond
Ormond losing the head here. Stuck the nut in twice. Point off for the first one.

Re: Terry Flanagan v Steve Ormond
Very harsh point deduction...referee is fornicating this up especially considering the fact he hasn't been warning Flanagan for the holding...AWFUL officiating again in a British ring!
Re: Terry Flanagan v Steve Ormond
Not scoring that, bullshit point deduction, Flanagan can hold him all he wants, sticks the head in and a point comes off, situations like this I wouldn't blame Ormond if he chinned Steve Gray.Boxing Prospect wrote:Very harsh point deduction...referee is effing this up especially considering the fact he hasn't been warning Flanagan for the holding...AWFUL officiating again in a British ring!
Re: Terry Flanagan v Steve Ormond
Yes, he should have dealt with the holding. He probably deserved a point off by the thrid time he stuck the head in, but a warning for the 1st one would have made more sense.Boxing Prospect wrote:Very harsh point deduction...referee is effing this up especially considering the fact he hasn't been warning Flanagan for the holding...AWFUL officiating again in a British ring!

Was three times could have been DQ'dBoxing Prospect wrote:Very harsh point deduction...referee is effing this up especially considering the fact he hasn't been warning Flanagan for the holding...AWFUL officiating again in a British ring!

Re: Terry Flanagan v Steve Ormond
True but taking a point for the first one was stupid, and continuing to allow the holding wasn't helping matters...Naandrew wrote:Was three times could have been DQ'dBoxing Prospect wrote:Very harsh point deduction...referee is effing this up especially considering the fact he hasn't been warning Flanagan for the holding...AWFUL officiating again in a British ring!
Re: Terry Flanagan v Steve Ormond
87-83 to Flanagan (with the point off).........christ he's just been Dq'd
Re: Terry Flanagan v Steve Ormond
Steve Gray has cost Ormond that fight, Ormond should knock him cold now, one rule for one and a different one for the other, fornicating fuming at that. Gray, IJL, Edwards and O'Connor shouldn't be allowed to officiate in a British ring again.
Re: Terry Flanagan v Steve Ormond
Just watched that last one again. Blatant. What a tool. He was still in the fight.

Re: Terry Flanagan v Steve Ormond
Very disappointing from Ormond he was still well in the fight when he started all the bullsh1t with the head.
Flannigan was taking over though and prob a few rounds ahead.
