So I guess Lara is Roach's secret weapon? Maybe they forgot Floyd is not a southpaw. Maybe God asked Lara to show up, since Pac seems to believe that it is all in God's hands, and God will decide who wins.

Why would Pacquiao lie about it in the interview saying Lara was one of the sparring partners? That is some funny shit right there! Too much.

They got to come up with some better stuff than that if they want to scare Floyd.....instead of making Floyd laugh.

LOL.

If anyone watched that interview they could see Manny had no clue wtf was going on at 2-3 points, but definitely during that question. I think people don't realize that Manny isn't as accustomed to the language as they think. You can see him struggling to understand whats going on in the most softball of interviews & he'll often go to his standard coverup move, a laugh that seems weirdly out of context. No diss to him btw, I lived in a non-English speaking country for a longer period of time & how far Manny has come to understand English is impressive while also training to be a world class fighter & I couldn't have gotten to the point he has with understanding & speaking a foreign language.

Bro I watched the Radio Raheem interview where Manny said that Erislandy was a sparring partner. Its not like the out of thin air claim about Guillermo. Problem was Manny didn't know wtf was going on in half the interviewer & didn't seem to understand the question lol. So it was a legit source, Manny was just confused.

If Manny still has a language barrier, you would think his team would hire a translator for the many interviews he has done. That may clear up some confusion about whether he signed a contract or if he was sparring with Lara, etc.

If you are on the public stage with your integrity at stake, it is important. George w Bush was kept at a tight leash due to his lack of in understanding of the English language. Bush would laugh when confused too.

Fergus, did you read the post right before yours ? Manny was thinking too hard about what he could say and what he couldn't and got confused speaking the foreign language.

Sparring southpaw Lara couldn't possibly prepare him for Floyd, so there was no reason for lying.

It's not the first time we've heard nonsense rumours is it? Do you recall the claims that Manny was sparring Guillermo Rigondeaux? That simply didn't happen!

I suppose you want me to provide some proof that we're being fed more nonsense, don't you? :??
No clue what you are going on about. I don't think you are understanding me. This WASN'T out of thin air & of course its not true. BUT this is a legit source error. Radio Raheem interviewed Manny. Manny says Erislandy is a sparring partner in that interview. Manny don't speak the f#cking language very well is the problem. This wasn't a story pulled from anyones ass. It was a error in Manny's ability to understand English & just inability to pay attention from what I see in the interview.

Here's the interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8fqt9IOQgo

fergusg wrote: Sorry... I apologised in my previous message just before you submitted your post.

My previous response, which was harsh, wasn't really aimed at you, since you know know what you're talking about. It was more of an attack on lemmings that believe rumours without verifying facts.

Arum and Pacquiao have both previously lied to the media, hence my kneejerk response to dispel such myths. If Bob instructed Manny to tell the media that he'd been sparring with King Kong, he'd willingly say it.
lol fair enough.

And yea solid point about their just being some level of gamesmanship/strategy/misdirection/etc & so on with this sorta stuff that Arum could easily steer in any direction he wanted to as he is quite skilled in media manipulation.
