Why would Pacquiao lie about it in the interview saying Lara was one of the sparring partners? That is some funny shit right there! Too much.

If anyone watched that interview they could see Manny had no clue wtf was going on at 2-3 points, but definitely during that question. I think people don't realize that Manny isn't as accustomed to the language as they think. You can see him struggling to understand whats going on in the most softball of interviews & he'll often go to his standard coverup move, a laugh that seems weirdly out of context. No diss to him btw, I lived in a non-English speaking country for a longer period of time & how far Manny has come to understand English is impressive while also training to be a world class fighter & I couldn't have gotten to the point he has with understanding & speaking a foreign language.

Erislandy Lara is not sparring with Manny Pacquiao! The same applies for Guillermo Rigondeaux! Team Lara and Team Rigondeaux have both denied these rumours!

Please, please… if you consider yourself genuine fight fans, don’t be gullible and buy into all the nonsense rumours until they have been verified from legitimate sources!

If Manny still has a language barrier, you would think his team would hire a translator for the many interviews he has done. That may clear up some confusion about whether he signed a contract or if he was sparring with Lara, etc.

If you are on the public stage with your integrity at stake, it is important. George w Bush was kept at a tight leash due to his lack of in understanding of the English language. Bush would laugh when confused too.

No clue what you are going on about. I don't think you are understanding me. This WASN'T out of thin air & of course its not true. BUT this is a legit source error. Radio Raheem interviewed Manny. Manny says Erislandy is a sparring partner in that interview. Manny don't speak the f#cking language very well is the problem. This wasn't a story pulled from anyones ass. It was a error in Manny's ability to understand English & just inability to pay attention from what I see in the interview.

My previous response, which was harsh, wasn't really aimed at you, since you know know what you're talking about. It was more of an attack on lemmings that believe rumours without verifying facts.

Arum and Pacquiao have both previously lied to the media, hence my kneejerk response to dispel such myths. If Bob instructed Manny to tell the media that he'd been sparring with King Kong, he'd willingly say it.

And yea solid point about their just being some level of gamesmanship/strategy/misdirection/etc & so on with this sorta stuff that Arum could easily steer in any direction he wanted to as he is quite skilled in media manipulation.
