In fact I did predict all of this and other botched Attempts from fAst car to make big fights in other threads only to be told by posters like James Wilson I was talking rubbish.
Anyone who knows boxing knew that Barry Mcguigan was going to demand a co-promotion- he left matchroom & took Frampton to sky to gain control did fast Eddie really think he would be prepared to give all the control back to fast car! It's a complete joke and even Eddies biggest ball lickers can surely see through this pathetic stunt. The fight won't be made - look for Quigg to 'defend' against a bum on May 30th while fast Eddie gives it large
About making offers.
Back on topic there's the usual level of baffling points from some in here. Some are saying the fight should be on ITV to increase the fighters exposure. Surely when you are increasing a guys exposure it is with a view to getting them to a point where they can fight on Sky PPV?? That platform is what makes the most money, by a country mile. Frampton v Rignondeaux or Santa Cruz would not be on Sky PPV, likewise Quigg vs those names. So for both guys, this is Everest when it comes to money, why say 'oh well we want to increase our exposure for fights that won't be PPV, so we will punt millions down the drain in the name of exposure and have the fight on ITV. Cyclone want a co promotion and it seems obvious to me they are looking at Sky PPV and not ITV. In their press release there wasn't a word about having an issue with the network, to me it seems patently clear that Cyclone have the opinion that they deserve a co-promotion despite having an inferior TV deal (in terms of money generation) and Matchroom believe they deserve to be the sole promoter as they have the tv deal but the fighter with the smaller fanbase and not a genuine respected World title.
Now, they would not be PPV fights and if the Quigg fight is PPV then they probably wouldn't be either. If the Quigg fight was on ITV, that gives Frampton (or Quigg) a much bigger fanbase and potential audience for PPV against Rigondeaux/Cruz of which they take a larger share. I'm sure ITV gives their brand more commercial opportunities too which can generate money as well.
Which British fighters have made the real big money from PPV? To my mind, it's only really been Hatton (one-off sky only fighter), Lewis (Heavyweight champ), Haye (Heavyweight & worked his ass off to get crossover) & maybe Hamed. It's always worth looking properly into other options but Frampton if he wants to make the big money should definitely be looking at increasing his appeal
This could well be the only fight Frampton ever has on PPV. He is popular but he needs to be English to crack it big time over here. He isn't good enough otherwsie.
McGuigan is making sure he is getting cut in on the promotion too. If it was only about securing his fighters future he would definitely accept this huge one fight offer.

Frochy?
Good shout. Was the Groves fight his only PPV fight?

If only!! Groves 1&2 & Kessler 2 were all on Sky PPV. The Taylor & Dirrell fights were on Primetime PPV (although not sure he would have done particularly well out of those 2). There might be more that I've forgotten, but there's definitely been at least 5 Froch PPVs. Thankfully he's always given value for money
Cyclones Promotions tweeted Hearn asking to reply to their meeting requests, he replied with, whats the point, the offer is on the table, or something along those lines.

They put out the statement on Tuesday, nothing since, Frampton's a director so I suppose what he says could be taken as Cyclone's word, can't see them saying anything different.

It was more a question than a statement that he maybe did well. I couldn't tell you any of the fights Hamed had on ppv, far too long ago for me to remember stuff like that!

He did well Hatton style. No idea who earned the most, but Naz won't be far behind, possibly in front.

Nah Hatton walks it for the mayweather fight alone.... He did Floyd good an proper on negotiations there! i think it generated £18million on SBO, and Floyd didnt share any of the english cut....
Yeah the £1.5 million cheque - it's definitely a dramatic turn of events...
In my opinion this is Hearn trying to railroad Frampton in to fighting under his conditions - the fight will e on Sky Box Office, the bout will take place in Manchester (Quigg's from Bury), the undercard will be all of Hearn's choosing and none of Barry's other Belfast lads get a look in.
I definitely think that this is a blatant attempt by Hearn to cut Barry out of the picture by showing Carl the money... And gents, if we are to be realistic about it, if someone puts your name on a cheque for £1.5 million, you'll definitely be inclined to tempted by it. Particularly with Carl having a young family to look after.
Going back a month ago, Eddie Hearn gave an interview to The Irish News where he said that he saw the fight on Sky Box office, and that it was being g priced at £16.99 - and he was expecting 500,000 subscriptions which would equal a grand amount of £8,495,000.
If those numbers are accurate, that's a hellvua of an amount of money coughed up for a nights work.

About right, McGuigan sees Frampton as his golden egg, he wants much more than his 25% of his boys purse! he wants to be cut in on the profits for the show too.
The problem is he will struggle to put on a big show by himself and certainly won't be able to match purse bids. He needs Hearn to cut him in, Hearn don't need Barry at all.

Purse bids with who? There is no big financial draw at the weight other than Santa Cruz. The next mandatory will likely come against Wake (Kyoei) or Tawatchai (Kiatkreerin) so that's going to be an easy purse bid to win.
