I think Broner knows he's just selling something, Froch actually believes that he's an international superstar. All of my casual fan friends can't stand him as well. Other than this board, I don't really know anyone who has any warmth towards him whatsoever. I didn't like him when he was under the radar as I thought he had an ego the size of the Eiffel Tower, and since he's made it big time he's even worse.

I'm gonna have to watch this thing aren't I? I can't believe you could point a camera at someone for hours and hours and they could somehow manage to do themselves bad PR. The one thing I didn't like about the book of Carl's was right near the end where he picked up the George Groves storyline. The text just starts to seethe off the page and it becomes quite ugly. It detracts from an otherwise good book.
I pretty much agree with most of the comments already - Froch has had an unbelievable career, beating some top top opponents away from home.
I made a conscious effort to try to like him after the Pascal fight, but for some reason I could not do it (although I massively admire his boxing achievements).
Weirdly, when George Groves on my misses said she didn't like Groves - but for some reason I like Groves but still cant take to Froch (I don't know why).
I am also not sure what his misses sees in the millionaire Froch - he aint no oil painting (apart form the actual oil painting on his wall of course).
Her voice would get on my nerves - I would have to think of something to put in her mouth to shut her up.
Right people - this Friday night at 11.15pm it's on again for anyone who hasn't yet seen it. This programme will be followed by a film on two brothers from the Ukraine who go by the name Klitschko. So not a bad night's viewing really. I also am looking forward to seeing the lovely Rachel :)

I'll watch the Klitschko doc as I only caught the end last time it was on. Also Junior Witter is on Eurosport fighting some French dude I think (8pm).
I like froch as a fighter sometimes pisses me off when he talks about himself but he isnt in the same league as broner bellew or khan,froch gets in and actually would die rather than quit in the ring. Dont know what dodson was saying tho cause i had froch to do exactly what he done to bute,not for one second did i think bute would beat froch. He said everyone in the boxing world picked bute to beat him

i watched it and enjoyed it. he's a funny lad is old froch, but maybe that's what keeps him going when almost everyone else would quit.
so strange that groves 2 is the defining event of his career when he has had much more meaningful and tougher fights.
john rawling is a stooge for saying that right hand was the best ever in boxing, hope he spent his paycheque on summat nice. hearns on duran plus plenty of others.

Just watched it and can't understand all the flak TBH it just sounds to me as if he's quite specific when he's telling us his achievements because he knows 90% don't know who the hell he's talking about so its as if he's letting them know the magnitude of what he's done,nowt wrong with that,maybe its stems from the fact that he still feels underappreciated??
He's a bit too serious but an all round good guy who's done more for the integrity and standing of British boxing on the world stage than every promoter that's every worked on these shores
Good post stoney. Froch has rubbed me up the wrong way in a couple of interviews but has also come across very well indeed in others. Hes been brilliant for us boxing nerds and we will miss him when he is gone, more so than calzaghe i m o, because tho calzaghe was i m o greater overall and a much bigger mancrush of mine, undoubtedly froch has contributed more to my enjoyment of boxing.
Froch came across as froch a bit up himself but no different than normal he's just not very likeable . I think froch and his Mrs crave the limelight/love of the people but he's just not hatton or Bruno who people liked as people
