Brook will be far too mobile, explosive, strong, fast and powerful for Gavin who is barely european level and who doesnt have the punch or strength to impose himself on Brook.
Yep. That's the way I see it too.

That's a good post, crusadercrusader wrote:Look at the evidence. Brook has stopped 15 of his last 19, dropped Hatton, and hurt Jones multiple times in the first half of their initial fight before stopping him in the rematch. He also stopped solid EBU-level fighters like Senchenko, Dan, and Jackiewicz, blowing away the first two. At British level, where Frankie has consistently won decisions, Brook was consistently stopping opponents early, and considering all this Brook has clearly shown me that his punches are more damaging than Frankie's. While physical strength may be harder to document I think Brook's shown that he's not easy to push around, which Frankie seemed to be against Bundu.BOYOVERTHEHILL wrote:I think Kell would struggle with Bundu and Skeete.
Why is he stronger and harder hitting?
He's a bit upright...robotic....has a tendency to go head hunting and neglects the body.
Ask Denton Vassell about Frankies power....Gavin was superb that night.
If Gavin turns up wanting it then I stand by my opinion that Kell could be in a world of poo.
And what about Vassell? He took plenty of shots and never went down or showed signs of being seriously buzzed against Frankie, but the same cant be said of his experiences with Eggington or Plotnykov.
Because he hasn't beaten anyone of note, the one he did was very close and could have gone either way,got beaten by an old euro level fighter, appears to be out of his weight class and shows a real lack of punch power and strength.BOYOVERTHEHILL wrote:Ok....here goes
Frankie is in with a hell of a shot to beat Kell Brook in my honest opinion.
Frankie has a solid chin...awkward style ....very good defensively....and underrated power.
His boxing at times can be beautiful and yes admittedly it can also be very negative and quite boring.
The main reasons I think he has a shot at beating Kell is his quite simple....He has far superior boxing skills and I think he will make Kell look silly at times.
I don't understand all the Kell is massive for the weight stuff and even if he is he hardly bangs like kovalev does he?
Would Kell have dealt with Bundu much better?....I'm not sure...especially after his life or death struggle with Carson Jones and he didn't exactly light up Shawn Porter did he?
I've got a major feeling a lot of people are going to get one hell of a shock!?
You have seen Gavin fight before, right?BOYOVERTHEHILL wrote: let's just hope for a cracking fight
How many Strongbows?BOYOVERTHEHILL wrote:Guess I'm pretty much on my own here lol.
To be fair I had had a few strongbows and made my case in a bit of a bullish way haha.
I still think Gavin will beat Kell but some very valid points have been raised and fair play to that.
let's just hope for a cracking fight and the best lad wins on the night.
It's good to have a different belief and to be confident enough to put it out there for scrutiny (even if it was down to the bow)BOYOVERTHEHILL wrote:Guess I'm pretty much on my own here lol.

I'd like some of what you're smoking. You can't 'box someone's ears off' if you don't throw any punches. Gavin just postures on the back foot, feints a bit and throws a few slaps a round. That's all he does, and that's all he ever did.BOYOVERTHEHILL wrote:Sober as a judge tonight.....still think Frankie can box Kells ears off.
Don't think I've seen Kell move his head in a long time and when was the last time he threw a bodyshot! ?
Someone please explain this huge welterweight stigma that the British fans are loving?....its getting a bit ridiculous
