floyd was never into it for the fans. when i hear somebody say, that the ultimate goal was not to make fans or or showcase a exciting fight fans would remember, than i am very disgusted. i mean, if a poor boxer wins a 1 million dollar purse and says "money was the most important thing in this fight!, than i can understand him, he made litle bucks and for the first time made big bucks. but when a multi millionere, who made roughly around 300 m, before the pac fight says, that the ultimate goal was to make the most money possible, not saying anything about giving the fight some action, than i realy understand why i disliked floyd in first place.
I mean, i didnt buy the ppv, but i watched the fight.sad for those who paid the 100, because to be quiet honest, the build up and the inside episodes were way more interresting than the fight. i saw manny trying to make a fight and bring action and floyd running holding, doing wlad style and basicly one punching his way through the fight to a boring UD, like so many expected, but so many hoped for a more interresting outcome. like i often said, for me, the most important thing wasnt if manny or floyd won, but that the fight would have been good and it wasnt. floyd often dominated manny and i am asking myself, why didnt he once tried to tko or buffle manny? is running all he can do? to be fair, manny didnt do enough either, didnt roach and manny learn from castillo and maidana? come as close as you can and dont make into a thinking fight, make it a brawl and unleash, even if you get countered, make it rugged. also i dislike bayless, when floyd holded or lean over manny, which he did often, bayless never onces gave him a warning.
today, everybody lost. manny lost the fight, floyd lost the last view fans he had, bayless lost his credentials and most importantly, millions of fans lost money and the hope for an exciting fight.
