I love how you just disregarded what Sergio Martinez said himself to provide an excuse for him, but then again you're probably one of the ones who makes the same type of BS excuse for Manny even though he never used that excuse after supposedly having this injury since 2008.

I'm not ignoring your insults and I posted what he stated, even if he is retiring because of his knee(s) then he didn't make that as an excuse like you are doing.

No it certainly isn't. He's a tough guy who can make things really difficult. But I have to say, I have a weird feeling he won't come out of there with a decision. Call me cynical, but Daniel Geale as "lineal" middleweight champion? Some people are losing a lot of potential money in that scenario.

I'd like to be wrong and that this will just be a well conducted and fairly judged sporting event though, but yeah, if it's close.....

Geale would need to be a very clear winner to get a decision. He better stop the little guy.

Speaking about a "lineal" middleweight champion, the title has already been compromised by Martinez being half-disabled when fighting Cotto. Everybody sues Pacquiao now, but Martinez clearly deceived the public by saying that his knees were fine.

Oh, I'm not saying it isn't somewhat compromised. I mean if you ask me, and I suspect most from what I hear/read, Golovkin is clearly the best middleweight in the world, and I'd not have much problem with calling him champion. I mean more from a marketing side, if you can attach the word "lineal", it obviously can help sell something.

You and I will know that a "real" middleweight championship of the world fight needs to include Golovkin at this point. But the majority of the casual sports fans? The "lineal champion" thing will make it sound more important, even if it is tarnished by now.

The only person Ward would drain down to 165 for is probably Floyd. Andre's next fight is at 172, so he is obviously not comfortable making 168.

Golovkin would fight Ward at 168, but they both are not willing to take a huge risk for the same money they fight Monroes and Smiths. Unfortunately for everybody, the money needed for that fight is not available yet.

My statement was exactly what Sergio Martinez said, I did not say he didn't have knee problems, Martinez made it clear that Cotto beat him because he rattled him with a shot(s) that he never recovered from and that's the reason why he lost.

Notice, he never blamed it on his knee problems. I'm not sure why that is a problem for anyone else here as I have used exactly what he stated and not my own words.

In simple terms, Oscar De La Hoya isn't interested in risking his most prized asset against Gennady Golovkin at this moment in time, he'd rather wait until 2017, when GGG will be 35 years of age and slightly past his physical prime.

No way Canelo-GGG surpasses anything unless both guys fight better competition, especially Triple G.

The PBC can be a tool to hype it's own fights.

You put good, eliminator style fights on the PBC.

Then you put the showdown fight on cable.
