Fury will punch back.

I wonder what would happen if Joshua hit Fury after the bell.

He will punch back, but he won't be able to lean on Joshua, and you have to fancy AJ to hit him at least as clean as Cunningham did. Think Fury will get up and fancy a bit more? I don't rate Fury at all, but I'm starting to have real hope for Joshua

Yes. You don't?

Did you used to think Price would batter everyone in the division as well?

Joshua has proven that he can punch, but that's about it. He's cheating against guys far below his level, that suggests that he has problems with his temperament.

I wouldn't be surprised if he does an Ike Ibeabuchi and ruins his career.

That's one of the most random things i've ever read on here.
What about AJ makes you think he might abduct a stripper and end up in an assylum? Because he punches after the bell occasionally? Hardly evidence of bi-polar disorder.

I can easily imagine him doing something that can get him sent down for a few years.

He comes across as very sinister to me.

I was in 2 minds whether to even respond to that first comment as I thought you may have just been joking

That's an absolutely bassless insinuation and to be honest not really something i'd have put out there even if I thought it.

Of course Joshua is sinister.

Have you never seen the way he laughs ominously whilst twirling the corners of his waxed mustache, and stroking the cat on his lap?

He's proved he can punch, and cut off the ring. We don't know about his stamina or his chin yet, but we know Fury has neither.

Joshua is looking good doing his thing, it'd be good to see him v Chisora, Price or even Fury - who really knows what'll happen?

Trouble is with big punchers when they do get it back they usually fall, it's happened so many times that the most intriguing part whether AJ can take it back when hit or fight like a lion when hit?

I think the only man more devastated than Kevin Johnson today must be Horse. He's been clinging to Tyson Fury's points win over Johnson as evidence of the giant's class for a couple of years now - and now Anthony Joshua has done exactly what a serious prospect should do with a passive, limited journeyman like Johnson, and that's bludgeon him.

It's a fist fight and infringements happen. Johnson was finished long before the bell ending round 1. To witter on about the after the bell shot as if it swung the fight, and while turning a blind eye to Tyson Fury's infringements (remember his 'tactics' & finisher versus Steve Cunningham?) is to show yourself up as some pathetically biased juvenile fanatic.

Tyson Fury wanted nothing to do with David Price, nothing to do with Kubrat Pulev, and he'll want nothing to do with Joshua - who for all the sickening hype is obviously far more well rounded than any of the above and would splatter a comical goon like Fury (and his cousin) in probably a round a piece.

The Johnson win is a much lesser win than Fury's win over Cunningham or two wins over Chisora. It's also at the same level as his win over Hammer.

Joshua also cheated disgustingly against Gavern recently, so it's not just an accident, it's something he chooses to do.

He's a bad egg and Hearn and the Board need to have a word with him.

Fury was going to fight Pulev but pulled out to fight Haye, which was a much better fight.

People were saying Price would splatter Fury easily when he was fighting at this sort of level. Joshua has done little to suggest he can beat Fury yet.

AJ would stop Fury inside 3 rounds, Ive never been a fan of Fury and admit that however I would love nothing more than Fury get a world title shot win it and defend against AJ. There would be a great fight and I guess a bloody good build up, it would fill something big in this county. It would be a fantastic night to watch a domestic world title fight. The likes of Bruno v Lewis, Benn v Watson etc etc. People would be scrambling for tickets, would a world title fight against those 2 fill Wembley?

The fact is and im sure im going to get some stick when I say this but AJ has far more ability and talent. He would drop Fury like a sack of spuds.

no one in this country at the moment as anything on AJ. We all as British boxing fans should embrace that fact and get behind AJ. There are still questions to be answered about AJ's stamina, chin etc etc, however George Best was shit in the net, but outside wow! No point in drabbing on about his chin, stamina as he may never need either if he keeps hitting and knocking over and no one is prepared to hit him back.

Haye wouldnt last 5 rounds at the current state of his affairs. He wouldnt fight AJ, hes too busy doing charity auctions in casinos for £75 a ticket. Also if he did announce a date with AJ I would waste my time buying a fight ticket to be let down yet again with another phony injury.

There are now.only three.options for him in the uk. Haye if he is still fighting fury and dillan whyte. No point fighting price or chisora IMO. Dillan whyte would b logically best fight for.him at this Stage. would like aj to do traditional route British Commonwealth euro

A good test would be Tony Thompson next, we need to see Joshua in with a proper operator to see how good he is

How does beating Johnson make Chisora and Price a waste of time?

The traditional route is to win the Lonsdale belt outright and he's going to have to make a few defences to do that.

TBH I'd like to see Joshua go down the traditional title route, even though he's clearly beyond it,certainly British and Commonwealth anyway but if he avoids it he may end up at world level too soon, the European titles maybe the most logical step,if he keeps going down the International route and winning then he'll be knocking on Wlad or Wilder's door in about 4 fights, which will be about 8 months time, which IMO however good he's looking, might be too much too soon

Unless he gets Wilder first, wins then makes a few defences before fighting Klitschko in about 2 years

Or he might go and get chinned from Thompson in a round

Joshua is not beyond British or Commonwealth title level.

I'd favour Joshua to beat Whyte, Chisora, Browne etc., but that doesn't mean he shouldn't fight them and actually pick up the real wins, instead of the imaginary ones.

It's not as if there are dozens of better international opponents out there. If Joshua did nothing else except compete in British or Commonwealth title bouts in his next 5 fights, he'd quite likely be ranked in the world's top 5.

I agree in standings he's not beyond British and Commonwealth level,Fury,Haye and maybe Price are above so unless its Chisora,Browne or Whyte, there's probably no point in wasting his time there after demolishing Johnson so effortlessly but any of those 3 would be a step in the right direction

I doubt Johnson is particularly devastated tbh - he wasn't in there to win (as usual), he'd likely have put all his money on a Joshua win if he was allowed.

Agree that Joshua crushes Fury. Fury is great entertainment & I wish him all the best, but I do think he's been kept away from punchers for a reason. Hopefully Fury goes ahead with his shot against Wlad (which he'll almost certainly lose), then fights Joshua after.

Joshua does need to sort out these punches after the bell/when the opponent is floored though, not a good habit to get into & could cost him points or even a fight down the line.

It's not really wasting time if he's fighting every month or so.

Would the Board allow Joshua to make two defences in one night? Or would that make the British title look bad?
