Topic A - Szpilka to #10, Quezada remains unranked.
Topic B - Takam remains at #7, Sprott remains unranked.
Topic C - Wilder down to #5, Molina remains unranked.
Considering the quality of his opponent, Wilder did not look as good as (for example) Jennings in his last fight and so he should be dropped down.

My vote: Szpilka to #10, Quezada remains unranked.
My vote: Takam to #6, Sprott remains unranked.
My vote: Wilder remains at #3, Molina remains unranked.
Notes: Activity should be rewarded even if you beat a Quezada and a Sprott
Demoting Wilder when he won by KO and won almost every round is just plain silly.

Why didn't you vote to move Takam up a spot then?Tony1244 wrote:Notes: Activity should be rewarded even if you beat a Quezada and a Sprott

Re: Updating the BOXREC Forum heavyweight rankings
I'm not too sure about Wilder sliding down... He did have a successful title defense at the weekend... And we do have to go by the results...

Thanks for pointing out my mistake. Takam to 6. I'll correct it.

I have to move Takam ahead of Glazkov, because Takam is just better than Glazkov. Takam beat Tony Thompson, Glazkov robbed Cunningham. I want to demote Wilder after his most recent outing, but I don't want to move him down an entire slot, because I'm not sure that he's worse than Pulev or Jennings, so I have no real recourse. I'm just glad that Wilder is currently below Povetkin and Fury, and that he is most definitely remaining below them after this vote is tallied, so I'm fine with that. After Jennings's very competitive showing with Wlad and Pulev getting flattened, I kind of wish it were possible to have Jennings > Wilder > Pulev, but our voting practices do not make that possible.

Re: Updating the BOXREC Forum heavyweight rankings
Having fought unranked opponents, I vote to move each guy up one spot just because they actually fought somebody. How lame is that? This is what boxing has become.

Re: Updating the BOXREC Forum heavyweight rankings
I think the standard way of doing it would be to make them joint 3rd rather than 4th.jezzamundo wrote:Wilder slips to equal #4.
Re: Updating the BOXREC Forum heavyweight rankings
Thats really untidy. I would suggest to use vote average to break the tie.jezzamundo wrote:Wilder slips to equal #4.

You're right, that's the way I've done it in the past, changing it now.Horse wrote:I think the standard way of doing it would be to make them joint 3rd rather than 4th.jezzamundo wrote:Wilder slips to equal #4.
It has happened several times before and will only last until one of Wilder or Pulev fights again, no biggie.Tarkus wrote:Thats really untidy. I would suggest to use vote average to break the tie.jezzamundo wrote:Wilder slips to equal #4.
