I think the word "kid" is generally used by everyone in boxing. I've heard 30 year old fighters get refered to as "hes a good kid" all the time. Doesn't grate on me in the slightest

My biggest complaint about boxing is that promoters, cornermen and associated others storm the ring at the end of the fight, meanwhile the doctor struggles to get to the fighter who's been knocked out cold and could end up in a coma.
