Does 126 seem weak, or is it just me?

Post by JCS »

A 21-10 fighter is #1... Vetyeka #2... Montiel, a potential HOFer but is way past his prime.. sniffing the Top 10?

Is this suddenly a stop gap division?

So I take you have not heard of Lomachenko, Selby, Santa Cruz, Mares, Russel Jr, Gradovich. Do you watch boxing at all or you simply scroll through boxrec ratings?

If Rigo is added to that group assuming he moves up, I would say it is a pretty soliid weight for a lower weight class.

Rigo wont move up, but both Quigg and Frampton hinted they are considering it. Which would make featherweight one of the best divisions, probably on of the top three.

Rigo isn't there yet. Neither is Santa Cruz (technically). Russell already proved he's inferior to Lomachenko. Mares lost to old Gonzalez... who is going to 130 himself I believe. Still not impressed.

If it gets Rigo, Santa Cruz and Frampton.. then it would be something to talk about.

How has Santa Cruz not moved up "technically" when he officially announced it while ago, he already had one fight in the division and has second fight scheduled. What more should he do, tattoo it on his forehead?

I don't consider a guy to be in a division unless he weighs in at the full limit more than once. These guys jump around far too much these days in the lower weights, what with divisions only a few pounds apart...

You seem to have an attitude -- relax your face.
