Fury tries to cover up and walk in to rough him up a bit. Klitscho jabs through the guard on the way in then wrestles till the referee separates them. About 8 rounds of that then Klitscho lands a straight right and it's a one-punch KO.

I want to try and give Fury a decent chance but even a punchers chance is not going to happen. not sure how the fight will go but im expecting something 'odd' to happen. It wont go 12 thats for sure. There will be no Fury victory, but I think it will be a odd finish.
Re: Predict How Klitschko-Fury Will Pan Out.
I think the match up of styles and skills and weaknesses makes this less of a formality than people seem to think.
WK is very good at what he does, but what he does is stick to very basic (but very high) technique and rely on his height and reach. TF is far more natural a boxer, he's looser, throws a wider range of punches and is a lot quicker than people think. However, more relevant is that he is significantly taller than WK, with a reach advantage the and skills to use it. WK can't just stand off and pick away the way he likes to. As others have said he also can't lean all over TF every time they get close. So that's two of his big weapons left open to question in this fight.
Fury is far more natural when it comes to wanting a tear up as well. Klitschko is a cautious man who knows he doesn't need to go wild but against a man much bigger than him he may have to fight more than he's used to. At that stage stamina becomes a question. Fury has had fitness questions, Klitschko is not a young man, he doesn't fight often and he's not used to being made to fight.
People will point to Fury being knocked down by smaller men but there is a significant answer to that everyone seems to ignore. He has been knocked down twice in exactly the same circumstances. He got lazy, over confident, walked onto an overarm right from a much much smaller man. He got sat down, got straight back up and got on with it. He also, it is worth remembering, got up and won. The significance I think is the issue he has a weakness of walking onto big rights from short heavyweight. Haye would have been all wrong for him from that perspective. But Klitschko isn't going to be bowling punches from a blind spot, he's going be throwing straight rights from where Fury can see and respect them.
I don't know how this goes, Fury hits harder than people think but his weapon is variety, very unexpected speed and surprising accuracy. He's also strong, getting smarter, developing really good skills and coming into his prime. He's the best WK will have fought for some time but then the biggest question is does that bring out the best in the champion or the end to his reign?

You offering odds of 100/1 on a fury victory?

Meant what he does looks more natural and less "robotic" for want of a better phrase. Doesn't mean what he does it better he just has and is prepared to use wider range.Boxerbeetle wrote:

Fury to get sparked, then wake up and sing a song (whilst still lying on the canvas), and that song to go on to become the best selling single of all time in Germany.
There is more chance of that happening than any scenario in which Fury wins.

Anyone who has to be shown how to throw a jab correctly by the referee doesn't deserve to be called a natural boxer imo.GPTM1403 wrote:Meant what he does looks more natural and less "robotic" for want of a better phrase. Actually, thinking about it - he could be the new Hoff!
Re: Predict How Klitschko-Fury Will Pan Out.
I dont bet all that often on boxing matches, but every now and again along comes a fight where odds are favourable and i am extremely confident of the outcome. Wlad vs Fury fits that bill, i cannot envisage any scenario in which Fury wins, only a lottery punch would do it IMO and i just dont see that happening. If i was loaded i'd stick a huge wad on Wlad to win at 1/4 on, but as i'm not loaded i need a better return for my measly stake, therefor i'll be sticking something on Wlad to win by KO at 5/4 and Wlad to win between rounds 4-6 at 11/2.

Yeah, if you were minted, and could afford to stick 10K on the fight, you'd be laughing. Mind you, Wlad could get cut or throw his shoulder out, you never know in boxing.ALI wrote:I dont bet all that often on boxing matches, but every now and again along comes a fight where odds are favourable and i am extremely confident of the outcome. I'd say 4-1 on is actually fairly generous, I certainly don't give Fury a 1 in 4 chance of winning, that's for certain.
I've got a big of money coming later in the year, might have to have a punt.
Re: Predict How Klitschko-Fury Will Pan Out.
Best odds on a Fury win are 7/2 with a lot of bookies going 3/1. I think you would need to be a relative or drunk to bet Fury at those odds. I dont know what the bookies are thinking but this will be very one sided IMO.jamesmcdonnell wrote:Yeah, if you were minted, and could afford to stick 10K on the fight, you'd be laughing. Maybe a lot of money has come in on fury - causing them to shorten the odds.ALI wrote:Best odds on a Fury win are 7/2 with a lot of bookies going 3/1. Christ, I'd want to be getting 10-1 or more to even consider having a punt on Fury!

They say he has a big family and i'd bet they like a bevvy, i cant envisage any other scenario in which anyone in their right minds would bet Fury at those odds. I would not back him at 20/1.jamesmcdonnell wrote:Maybe a lot of money has come in on fury - causing them to shorten the odds.

There are a lot of travellers with a lot of money and they love a punt, I guess that's why the odds are short on fury. Absolute madness to bet at 3-1.
Re: Predict How Klitschko-Fury Will Pan Out.
Fury will get dropped hard and get up, wobble bbadly and the ref will stop the bout, Fury will protest, Wlad will win, he is too strong, too powerful and too experienced, Wlad will target the body more than usual and it'll be over by the 6th round.

Serious question - Can you recall Wlad throwing a body shot? He must have done it before but can you name an instance?palooka wrote:Fury will get dropped hard and get up, wobble bbadly and the ref will stop the bout, Fury will protest, Wlad will win, he is too strong, too powerful and too experienced, Wlad will target the body more than usual and it'll be over by the 6th round.
Re: Predict How Klitschko-Fury Will Pan Out.
I see Fury trying to make this a 'boring', frustrating fight by staying on his toes and moving while flicking out a jab even longer than Wlads. I can easily see him picking up the first 3 rounds just doing that. Then it will be up to Wlad to rush him using his greater athleticism and time him with a lead left hook. That's not in his nature but that's what makes me think that this will be an entertaining match. At some point Wlad will have to turn it into Lewis v Grant and then there will be fireworks. There is a chance that Tyson lands first but that's less likely than Wlad landing something much more damaging.
I'm looking forward to it.
