That's why the bodies are losing so much credibility they need to step in and turn these fights down. Povetkin destroyed Wawrzcyk a few years ago without breaking a sweat and on his recent form would probably blast him out in a round.

I feel Wilder would outclass Lucas Browne but this fight shows a lack of confidence in him from his team. Will be very interesting what happens regarding the Povetkin fight.

I would be surprised if the fight happened, but just imagine the piss taking if he won and beat Tyson to a world title!

As somebody said on the Twitter, why don't the Furys suggest Eddie Chambers as an opponent? - at least they would still earn out of it.

I don't see what Chambers gets out of his arrangement unless he is happy to be a (well paid?) sparring partner.

Chambers isn't with The Fury's anymore.

Behave, Keith. When the time is right, they'll get it on. It says more about Wilder that he's even asking for this than it does Hughie.

This. I really don't think Wilder is anything special but it smacks of taking fights against names they know they're ahead of nothing else. Or as someone else said, throwing out names so when it is a total nobody they can say they offered all these people. If Price's confidence wasn't so shot I'd still back him to knock Wilder spark out if they fought. He's got all the tools to do the job on him.

Everytime you get in the ring, you could get KOd. In risk versus reward, this fight is worth it.

I'll be shocked if it happens tbh just because of Peter's travel complications when getting into the USA.

But I am surprised that Lemiuex is longer odds vs Golovkin than Hughie is vs Wilder (especially as Wilder has the highest KO%). I guess nobody has much faith in Wilder's chin, even vs a 20 year old novice!

I agree with the sentiment of taking an opportunity, although I also agree that in boxing the person can become unstuck in ways that don't apply in other sports.

According to interviews, the plan is for Tyson to win all of the belts and then to vacate one for Hughie to fight for and they will both hold titles at the same time and be in a good position to pick their opponents.
