The match up could pass on the undercard, Andre Ward is now an undercard fighter ? :geek2:
I don't blame him if that's what he wants to do to fully sharpen up I get it, but it puts big pressure on him to deliver a 3rd fight comeback.

I just don't see the need for 2 tune up fights. It's not like he's coming out of a 10 year retirement, and he's been sparring and training in between the last fight, this is just a waste of time.

The only possible reasoning is so that he can flatten the guy on the undercard of a PPV, and make himself seem a bit more exciting.

He'd better not get beat any time soon, that's for sure, because no fornicator is going to give him a shot at their title unless someone puts a gun to their head. He couldn't draw a pair of curtains.

If SOGgy is going to fight this level of comp he should be fighting a minimum of 3 times a year. 4 times should not be out of the question. And he should go on world tour.

No, I won't be holding my breath.

HAHAHAH...here's the guy calling out GGG criticizing his opposition and he turns around and takes a huge fight against the dazzling Marco Antonio Periban on an UNDERCARD. What an absolute imbecile Andre Ward is. One day, if he gets his viewership numbers up, GGG will give him a shot at some real money and then we'll see how much of a punk Ward really is. Why fight a guy who can't carry an event on his name? That's just a dumb investment.

Fight hasn't been made yet.

But a stay busy fight he can be dominant in during a PPV that will to do a million and a half buys easily is not exactly the dumbest thing I ever heard of...

Dan Rafael said Ward-Periban won't be on the Cotto-Canelo undercard.

Perhaps Ward is demanding too much money, or is he afraid to fight Periban outside of his home state?

Ward will likely be back on BET, but it's not certain they'll have him back on considering how low his ratings were for the Smith fight.

I doubt that Ward is afraid to fight Periban anywhere. It is likely about money, as he is totally delusional about his drawing abilities.

I thought Ward leaving Goosen was supposed to get him to the next level. That next level appears to be a downward spiral.

Depends on who he fights.
The ratings could still be low but depending on the outcome could be good or worse for both.

Zac Dunn was offered a fight with Andre Ward in the USA according to Barry Michael at Australian boxing central, but he has taken another fight. Ward refused to fight Dunn in Australia.

Can't say I blame ward for swerving that one. Why would he go to Oz? It's not like Dunn is a massive name.

Agreed. Who is Dunn for Ward to travel to Australia ? Is he a huge PPV attraction ? Obviously not.

Australia is as good a place as any to start a bum of the month world tour.

No wonder most boxing fans don't like Andre Ward.

Princess Ward is a selfish prima donna who has a lot of smug arrogance and false pride. The scumbag keeps calling out the smaller GGG but refuses to fight Kovalev.

Ward sued a dying man who did a lot for his career, how despicable is that?

He demands a high payday for all his fights even against journeymen like Smith and Rodriguez and home advantage (so he can use dishonest referees like Jack Reiss who permit him to use illegal tactics). He's feather-fisted, so he uses head butts to hurt his opponents.

The Son of Goat is the dirtiest and most boring boxer I've ever seen.

He says he can beat a Klitschko:

He also claims to be the Son of God, despite being an extremely dirty boxer who makes sure he has a shady home referee so he can use illegal tactics (head butt, clamp his opponents' arms, etc).

I can't be bothered to watch the video, but the title is "I can beat A Klitschko"...

I would imagine he meant Kaya, Wlad's daughter, but only if the fight takes place in Oakland.

I've worked on a psych ward. There's a lot of mentally ill people who believe they are Jesus Christ, the Son of God - it's probably the most common schizophrenic delusion.
