i have never seen morales like that before , he was punched senseless and actually looked happy that it was over.
morales has been a warrior and has earned good money but manny is the man , he fought like a windmill.
not many greats would have beat manny last night

Its not just that he lost, its how he lost!... are you saying that he's still in his prime???... I thought he looked on the slide in the last fight with Barrera... That would be like Mayweather moving up to Light Middle, losing to someone of the calibre of Vernon Forrest and everyone saying he was shot.
'Shot', for me implies someone like Holyfield: Incapable of getting off the punches, or moving with anything like the fluency he once did, and getting totally humbled by guys who wouldn't have touched him in his prime, like Donald. Morales has just lost to a very good lightweight, and a top p4p'er. Maybe he is slipping a bit, yet he was still competitive for much of the fight with Manny. He's still going to be favourite against pretty much anyone around 130lb's, which is hardly true of a shot fighter.
Excellent points States, Morales isn't shot he is just shopworn maybe as all the hard fights and wars catch up on him. He gave a fight to a top of his game, prime fighter like Pacquaio for a good 9 rounds so i doubt he is shot. He also outlasted Pacquiao two fights ago in a great battle, the fight with Raheem wasn't a fight where he took a sustained beating he was just undermotivated and out thought in there.

Raheem was also a naturally bigger man and a stick and mover, and Morales is always a bit flat footed at the best of times.
If Pacman had fought the same fight he did last time out, I doubt he would have won. Morales was dominating in the 4th and 5th rounds, it was a carbon copy of their first fight, all the hard shots were coming from Morales, and Pacman was getting forced to lurch in with shots.
Difference is this time Pacman had a plan B and when he put it into practice, he was able to get inside of Morales.
You could see even in the first two rounds (which I thought Pacman stole with the jab) that Pacman wasn't going to fight the same fight as last time.

Steve: I genuinely salute your phrasology there. "Shopworn" is the perfect adjective to describe Morales (and indeed many fighters). It isn't "shot" but it means no longer at their best.
