TBH I think a lot wrote him off for the Galarza loss where he was caught by a huge shot. Prior to that there was talk of him being one to watch. Certainly looks a level above Smith in terms of overall skill but I do see Smith getting back into this in the second half.jameswilson wrote:Not saying Thompson is anywhere near as good but is anyone else getting a similar feeling to how they felt during Butler v Tete?

Smith starting to land more in 4. Thompsons movement a little bit slower. 2-2
Re: WW3 Manchester October 10th RBR
I've got Thomson four rounds up
Re: WW3 Manchester October 10th RBR
I know its early but the only way Smith will win is by a stoppage.

Very good 5 for Thompson his best round yet I think. Smith never offered much at all there. 3-2

He is head hunting a lot, I reckon if he starts going downstairs he will break him down.

Re: WW3 Manchester October 10th RBR

Well done Smith, got to say that he didn't look world class, but did what he needed to, turned it up when he had to and did the job.
Re: WW3 Manchester October 10th RBR
Thomson had no chin
Re: WW3 Manchester October 10th RBR
Bloody hell!

Fight over after 7 Thompson down and out. Gasses himself out and well done smith patient and got him when he slowed down
Re: WW3 Manchester October 10th RBR
Well done to Smith, a good win.
Re: WW3 Manchester October 10th RBR
I would take Soro over Smith.
Re: WW3 Manchester October 10th RBR
I thought Thompson hit a lot harder. I don't think Liam Smith has that belt by the end of next year though. Especially if Andrade wants is back.

Re: WW3 Manchester October 10th RBR
is that the same belt that Brian Rose fought Andrade for?
Re: WW3 Manchester October 10th RBR
Thompson's stoppage win over Adams is misleading when taken on its own. He's an arm-puncher without much pop.Naandrew wrote:I thought Thompson hit a lot harder. I don't think Liam Smith has that belt by the end of next year though. Especially if Andrade wants is back.
