Just thought of two recent ones, Daiki (retina) and Koki (no longer in love with the sport) Kameda
Re: Fighters whose careers ended too early
Definitely Pirog.....a fight with GGG would have been something else.
Go back a bit...
Terry Marsh; good to have seen what he could have done in a unification fight.

He was about to fight Hector Camacho, it would have ended badly.Bodyshot3 wrote: Terry Marsh; good to have seen what he could have done in a unification fight.

Just goes to show what an amazing feat it was to come back and do what he did,we could argue about who won etc,but the fact he came back to fight the number one guy and perform like he did shows what he could have done in his prime.

he had back issues that he could not recover from. tried to come back but couldn't handle intense Training anymore.binipop wrote:Dimitry Pirog, what happened to him? Last I saw of him was blasting out Daniel Jacobs with one punch.Shirow wrote:Spencer Oliver

Agreed. I think Ray Leonard was better than Floyd Mayweather Jnrbigjack wrote:johnswan1 wrote:Ray Leonard. Retired in 1982 aged 25. He was certainly a bigger puncher and more inclined to take a chance; he also liked to put on a good show - he wouldn't run against an overmatched foe, he'd go for them to take them out.big lennox wrote:Agreed. Back issues! That's putting it mildly, he's paralysed from the waist down following a motorcycle accident.dominik wrote:he had back issues that he could not recover from. tried to come back but couldn't handle intense Training anymore.binipop wrote:Dimitry Pirog, what happened to him? Not so much 'couldn't handle intense training any more' - as 'wasn't able to get his wheelchair up the steps to the ring.'
The man's got more back issues than a comic shop.
