he had back issues that he could not recover from. tried to come back but couldn't handle intense Training anymore.

Agreed. I think Ray Leonard was better than Floyd Mayweather Jnr

He was certainly a bigger puncher and more inclined to take a chance; he also liked to put on a good show - he wouldn't run against an overmatched foe, he'd go for them to take them out.

Back issues! That's putting it mildly, he's paralysed from the waist down following a motorcycle accident.

Not so much 'couldn't handle intense training any more' - as 'wasn't able to get his wheelchair up the steps to the ring.'

The man's got more back issues than a comic shop.
